Beautiful, open, and airy, Base Camp Lodge is where rustic meets luxury. Enjoy plush, updated furnishings and warm wood floors that accentuate the home's cabin feel. With an enclosed yard and a large stone patio with a grill, the adults can barbecue outside as the kids play lawn games. When the evening begins to cool down, light a fire in the outdoor wood stove and keep the fun going. Everyone will love soaking in picturesque views of the mountain scene from the deck.
Inside, you can prepare meals with ease on the six-burner gas range in the well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen opens to the dining area, which features vaulted ceilings and a large table with seating for six. In the mornings, sip coffee at the bistro table for two; in the evenings, drinks await at the bar. The kids will have their own space as well, in the large game room with two twin-over-full bunks. There's also a washer/dryer in this area to ensure that everybody has clean clothes for their stay.
You'll love the primary bedroom with its spacious bathroom and walk-in shower equipped with grab bars and a shower seat. With TVs in all the bedrooms and a shared bathroom equipped with a large soaking tub, everyone is sure to relax in comfort after a day exploring any of the nearby adventures and attractions.

The house was great for my large family! Enough space for everyone, and so easy and convenient to ski rentals and the mountain! And my dogs all enjoyed coming in this trip too with a great yard for them to run in!

The kitchen was amazing!!! There was everything and anything you would need to prepare a meal at home. Some items had been around a while and needed a second cleaning but everything was functional.Loved the Vacasa cleaning box!! I wish all our rentals provided that!We only used 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and they were both very comfortable and clean.The yard was fully fenced which we appreciate!!This home worked wonderfully for my family and our first snowboarding trip with our child. We would love to come back late spring.

This is a great house for 6+ guests as it offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bunk beds in the playroom, 4 bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room. The short fenced yard is adequate for smaller dogs. There are 2 fire pit locations with chairs and a great view of Sugar Mountain. It is centrally located to sports outfitters, Banner Elk, hiking trails/waterfalls, and near the larger city of Boone.
It has mostly adequate older furnishings and minimal convenience supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissue, kitchen cleaning rags/towels, and bath towels. It could also benefit from better maintenance of the mini-split heat/air filters. We weren't sure if the musty/mold odor was from the filters or other location in the house.
