What a beautiful flat! If you want a light-filled, comfortable apartment with absolutely stunning views of the sea and coast from every window, this is a great choice. Beautiful, old imposing building, tastefully furnished, very comfortable beds with lovely fresh linen, great bathroom and kitchen and even a balcony to sit out on. It's lovely & quite and very close to Shanklin but is up a very steep hill so a car is definitely recommended. Great customer service from Island Holiday Homes. The roller blind in the main double bedroom needs repairing, and a second tea-towel would be great, otherwise everything was great!

We enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The flat was spacious for the two of us and was well equipped with a large fridge/ freezer and dish washer. There is a Lidl or Coop so you can do a shop and stock up. Nice touch to have milk and biscuits for us on arrival. WiFi was fine and no issues. The views from the bay windows were amazing. The bed was comfortable and hot water and heating all worked fine and radiators heated quickly. It was a good location and a walk down the hill to the old town where we got some great fish and chips from the happy haddock and about 15 mins from the beach (the coastal path was closed so you couldn’t follow that down to the beach). Along the beach there is also crazy golf. It’s also a short walk to a bus stop which we used to get the number 3 to Sandown. You can easily drive to all the major attractions. We were able to park fine but should the car park be at capacity in busier months it could be hard if there are too many cars. Slight issue getting the key out the compartment box (make sure you move the little black toggle thing). Having that clearer on the instructions would be helpful as it wasn’t obvious to us. The view was great but we had heavy rain one day which dripped through the timber frame and we had to put towels down. The apartment was clean but could do a slight tidy up (removing dust in bedroom and communal area behind the telly). Kitchen and bathroom were very clean though. Other reviews mention lady birds and there were several there in the living room. The Sky box didn’t work and they have a dvd player so bring your own. No streaming like Netflix which would be good for people to log into but it wasn’t a smart tv. It is just free view. We did make use of their cluedo board game. All in all we’d be very happy to stay again and make the most of the balcony in the warmer months. A nice place to stay - convenient, good value and the team at Island Holiday Homes were really friendly and helped book the ferry which was great.

This apartment is in a great location with amazing views out to sea. It is quiet and relaxing. The balcony is a comfortable size to sit out on, but you are exposed to your neighbours, just a few feet away. A screen is definitely needed here. It is up a hill but we did not find this a problem. The slope is not that bad. It has everything you need for a few days break. Take some dish washer tablets with you, as they are not provided. BUT, we found this apartment in need of a bit of TLC. Nothing major but just some maintenance and some updated wardrobes, furniture in general. The laminate flooring creeks badly and drove us mad. The neighbours must be able to hear it too. Not good especially at night. The cleanliness of this apartment concerned us most. I am not sure if the cleaner had been in before us or not. The toilet was dirty. The shower head and bath had hair in it. The basin still had soap around the bases of the taps. I had to deep clean the bathroom myself. Two out of four white towels provided were stained. I also had the deep clean the kichen sink. It did smell a bit but after cleaning with a little bleach, it looked like new. I hope that the owners take time to just update this apartment. It really could be so much nicer.

This apartment is certainly in a stunning location with wonderful views and gardens and good parking. Apart from the kitchen which is relatively well equipped and clan, the rest of the place is in dire need of a deep clean; it’s soft furnishings are worn out (the pillows and towels are particularly clapped out) and there is a dangerous level of black mould in the tiny bathroom. The second bedroom is not big enough for two kids let alone adults and the flat’s large windows and high balcony mean it is not suitable for children. The bathroom needs major reconfiguration and refurbishment – there is zero shelf space, not enough towel drying space, no door hooks and a disgusting mould-infected shower screen. This is not a professional holiday let – it is somebody’s private holiday gaff that is being let to offset the owner’s costs – all of these issues (and more) have been reported in the visitor’s book over the last 2-3 years. There are other flats in this building on other letting sites that appear to be in much better order.
