About this house rental
The property
Built in 1874, the El Abejaruco rural house is a typical slate-and-wood structure characteristic of the “Arquitectura Negra” region of Guadalajara. It has been completely renovated, and its five charming and comfortable double rooms with private bathrooms, Provençal kitchen, and living-dining room with a fireplace will make your stay unforgettable.
It is located in Campillo de Ranas, in the heart of the “Pueblos Negros” region of Guadalajara and the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara Natural Park.
El Abejaruco is not a second home but rather a rural guesthouse designed with every detail focused on the comfort of its guests. The Provençal decor is meticulously curated and free of superfluous decorative elements that might detract from the home’s comfort.
All rooms feature a private full bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower and are uniquely decorated. All rooms have a television, and the two attic rooms are equipped with air conditioning for the rare days of extreme heat in this region.
We have a manager in charge of your stay who lives just 5 minutes from the vacation rental.
Campillo de Ranas is a beautiful and unique village that serves as the main hub of the “Arquitectura Negra” region of Guadalajara, also known as the “Pueblos Negros” (Black Villages) region of Guadalajara. It has several small restaurants but no store, so we recommend stopping in the town of Tamajón, where you’ll find a supermarket and a pharmacy.
In the summer, you can visit the El Vado reservoir for a refreshing dip.
Throughout this mountain range and Natural Park, you can get around the lower part of the valley by car (all the villages are barely 5 minutes apart), by bike, or on foot along a loop trail (GR60).
