About this house rental
Spectacular views greet you as you enter this gorgeous getaway. This 5 bedroom, 4 bath home is truly for those looking for a relaxing, magical escape for friends or family. It is set at the top of the hill offering views that will take your breath away. The home is a short walk to boat ramp 5 and Comal Park. The nearby public golf course is an additional bonus.
On the first floor, there is a main suite with a king-size bed and its own private large ensuite and closet. This room also offers private access to the deck (sleeps 2). Enjoy a cup of Joe in the morning or a nice cool beverage in the evening while taking in the endless views. The second bedroom is also on the main floor allowing for fewer steps for guests. It has a queen adjustable bed (sleeps 2). There is a bathroom attached with a stand-up shower.
Upstairs there are two more bedrooms and a media room. In addition, there is access to the upstairs deck with even bigger views of the entire lake and the surrounding area. On this deck, we have a fireplace table and six-bar height chairs used for creating great memories on cool evenings. The third bedroom has a queen bed and offers beautiful lake views (sleeps 2). The fourth bedroom adjoins jack and jill style with stand-up shower. This bedroom has a full-size bed along with two twin bunks (sleeps 4).
When heading downstairs to the lowest level, there is a built-in bedroom/casita. It has its own living space with a sectional that has a pull-out couch (can sleep up to 3 max on sectional). Next, to the living space, there is a queen adjustable bed. In this cozy space, there is a coffee station, smart tv, and full-size bathroom.
Just outside the casita, there is a wonderful oversized wood fire area with seating for 8. This is the perfect place for making smores, cooking on the fire screen, and having fireside chats.We have also added an eight-person hot tub. The string lighting and outdoor tv are enjoyed while relaxing in the hot tub.
This home is truly a magical getaway that offers so much at the home but plenty to do nearby. The lake is a 1/2 mile walk from the home. You can access the lake at the nearby boat ramp 5 or boat ramps 3 & 4 in Comal Park. At the park, they offer two boat ramps, picnic areas, swimming areas, bathrooms, and more. The cost is $5 per day. The Guadalupe River is a short 15-minute drive away. Whitewater Amphitheater/ River Float offers outdoor concerts (see their website for a list of performances and dates) and tubing down the river for either 1-5 hour floats. The home is a 20-minute drive to the wonderful town of Gruene. In this historic, adorable town you will find, the oldest dance hall in Texas, small-town shopping, live music, restaurants, wine porches, antiques, and more. Wimberly and New Braunfels (Comal river floats in New Braunfels), are two other towns that you will want to visit for more of the same kind of fun and only 30 minutes from the house. Fredericksburg and Dripping Springs are two very popular areas for enjoying Texas wine country and they are about an hour away. You can stop in the famous town of Luckenbock on the way. There are also distilleries, breweries, and the famous Salt Lick BBQ nearby.
