8 / 10Excellent·Jul 2026
Overall, we had a nice stay. There was plenty of space for everybody and there were thoughtful touches throughout the house. The house was clean and well kept. There were clear, written instructions in the manual with reasonable checkout tasks (hang up towels, leave sheets on beds, take out trash.). Communication was excellent.Unfortunately, the range died while we were in the middle of cooking dinner. It was not possible to repair it before we checked out the next day, so we were without a stove or oven for two meals. There are a large number of small appliances available in the house, so we were able to pivot and use those to prepare the rest of our meals. David did offer a bottle of wine for the inconvenience and then offered to refund 100 after I declined the wine and asked for a credit. I agreed to that offer, but in retrospect I do think it was low compensation considering the high cost of the property and the significant inconvenience of a major appliance breaking. The property itself is beautiful and wooded. It's rural and relaxing, but be aware that phone service is spotty and the wifi wasn't as reliable as we had hoped for a remote worker in our group.

We had a fabulous stay! The only glitch was our fault. We lost a couple of amenity key cards with our group of 11 coming and going. My recommendation to groups is to establish a practice for managing the keys and cards to avoid accidents. The house has everything! You won’t be disappointed. We hope to return. Highly recommend!
