Had an extremely comfortable stay in songbird. Party consisted of 5 adults and 1 child. The location was amazing - local walks on the doorstep and Whitby 5 min drive away. We travelled and visited runswick bay only 20 mins away. The house was furnished exceptionally and the beds were really comfy. Lots of high end tech to get our heads around and Amazon echo dots located all around the house. If I could give a constructive critique it would be that the kitchen could benefit from a couple of frying pans and that the hot tub temp could be a degree or 2 hotter. This would not stop me from booking again however as it would be lovely to be there in warmer weather to enjoy the most out of the garden hot tub and location. Thank you Tim

The house was very clean and comfortable, beautifully presented we had a great time. Situated in a quiet location to relax after a busy day out. Would highly recomend.

This is a lovely, spacious house on the edge of a fairly large new development but the back garden overlooks a field so it feels more private than it looks. It's fully enclosed as well so it was safe for our little dog to run around in. Everything was spotlessly clean and the heating was very efficient. An ideal base for walking into Whitby (approx 10 mins downhill) but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Tim, the owner was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Sainsbury's is less than 5 mins in the car too. We had amazing Haddock and Chips from Riverside Fisheries and enjoyed a sunny seat outside the microbrewery up by the Abbey. I would recommend Songbird accommodation and would happily stay there again. Thank you.

The Songbird is a beautiful, well presented property in a lovely location, and we would definitely stay again. It was lovely and clean despite being dog friendly. We did have an issue with the hot water, this was sorted very quickly by the owner Tim. A few more items in the kitchen would be helpful, such as wooden spoons, baking trays and non stick frying pan but this was not a big deal and probably personal preference. Also some coats hooks in the utility room to hang coats when we have been out in the great British weather. The hot tub was lovely though I agree with Nick's previous comments with regards to the jets, also the chlorine level may need checking as it may be too high. Overall loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Whitby
