The Songbird is a beautiful, well presented property in a lovely location, and we would definitely stay again. It was lovely and clean despite being dog friendly. We did have an issue with the hot water, this was sorted very quickly by the owner Tim. A few more items in the kitchen would be helpful, such as wooden spoons, baking trays and non stick frying pan but this was not a big deal and probably personal preference. Also some coats hooks in the utility room to hang coats when we have been out in the great British weather. The hot tub was lovely though I agree with Nick's previous comments with regards to the jets, also the chlorine level may need checking as it may be too high. Overall loved it and would recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in Whitby

Lovely property and very advanced, the beds were comfy, the rooms were spacious and nice, the hot tub was amazing and in a very good location and a friendly owner. Had no issues checking in or out and will definitely come back here.

(4/5)We had a lovely stay in Whitby — the house itself was great, very comfortable, and in a fantastic location. The hot tub was a real highlight and made for a relaxing weekend!There were a few small issues that could be improved. We couldn’t get the TV in the lounge to work, and the showers and seals could have done with a more thorough clean (I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to bathrooms!). The house overall could benefit from a deeper clean, as the windows, blinds, and light fittings were quite dusty. A few of the dining chairs also felt quite loose — a couple were so wobbly they weren’t safe to use.That said, we really enjoyed our time there and appreciated the great location and comfort of the house. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Just had a four night break at The Song Bird....... Let me first start by saying it is a beautiful house, the house is well presented, decor is lovely and loads of room!! The garden is fantastic for dogs too, our dogs loved it, well fenced so no fear of loosing them unless they are gazelle's, which ours aren't thankfully!! Just a few over sights that could have made it even better for us.... 1: The hot tub was nice but it was quite dirty had to fish out quite a lot of small bits of gravel in the bottom and even then couldn't get it all out, some of the jets didn't work, the cover wasn't working as it should have either, difficult to get off & on, and it was looking a bit tired! But on saying that we still used it twice, so not a game changer still gives a nice hot tub experience! 2: The blinds are lovely in all the windows but the one in the kitchen area we couldn't open or close it, again not a real problem! 3: No roasting tins, no baking trays of any description, and the big one no frying pan, I had to have healthy breakfast instead of my usual fry up on my first breakfast, until I went & purchased the items! But on saying all of the above, it was still a fantastic holiday, & would definitely book again.
