Your mountain escape begins at this Waynesville cabin, nestled in the Cataloochee Hills 35 miles from Asheville. Mountain Gem is a two-story log home with cathedral ceilings and windows, a loft, a hot tub, and incredible views.
Step onto the wrap-around deck, with a 20-mile Smoky Mountain vista. Fire up the charcoal grill for barbecues, or gather around the fire pit for a marshmallow roast. A hot tub invites you to soak away your worries while gazing at the stars.
Indoors, the open-concept great room offers a warm and inviting space, and the fully equipped kitchen invites you to prepare meals for your group. In the loft, foosball tournaments await.
You'll find both a king and a queen bedroom on the main floor, a queen room upstairs, and a twin daybed with a trundle pull-out in the open loft.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

Beautiful location, and the cabin was nice overall. Great hot tub and view! The hosts were very responsive to some issues such as the washer not working (fixed promptly though) . We had a great time skiing and hiking. The place could use some upgrades such as new appliances. Could also use a deep clean.

I arrived from a late flight and had low water pressure and the repauscfid not take place Till almost 24 h later I called but nothing could be done Then I had no internet The info for WiFi was incorrect Phone service is poor with T mobile It is remote snd on top of hill10 mi speed limit Furnitures are outdated and “musky “ odor
