About this apartment rental

Welcome to the Hobbit House and Experience our Tolkien-Themed LOTR Dwelling. Begin your Adventure in our 2 Bedroom/Blissful Bath,Tuscan Kitchen, generous Living/Entertainment Area rated 5 stars by our guests and featured in several magazines and on TV. A secluded extension of our existing home, but with it's astute attention to detail and a Private Entrance, it's an Unforgettable Fantasy!
Just mins. from Parks & Lake, Downtown Dining & Shopping, and a short drive to Mt. Petit Jean.

The woodland realm location makes you feel as if you are actually in the Shire, (our guests say the pics don't do it justice) yet you are centrally located only 1/2 mile from Lake, one mile from Lake Dardanelle State Park (fishing tournaments), 1/2mile from the Movie Theater and Bowling Alley, and nestled between 3 Mountains to Hike.

The Unforgettable Craftsmen made Hobbit Door is the hallmark of the spacious cabin-like Living Room. It's custom-designed extra long and wide couch can sleep up to 4 Gandalf-sized wizards comfortably. It has a built-in Big screen TV with thousands of movies to stream, plus detailed authentic decor where you can live out your LOTR movie fantasies.

An Epic hand-carved double door leads to a well-appointed Master Bedroom with a King Size Bed that has been described as "like sleeping on the softest cloud".

The Second Bedroom is equally creative with a comfy Log-made Queen Bed and Bunk Beds is accented with rare objects that will spark your imagination.

The Luxurious Bathroom has a Deep Claw-Foot Soaker Tub, Large Spa Shower, and a unique Natural Wood vanity.

The Old-World Tuscan Kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, and a hand-made live-edge wood table that can seat entire Fellowship of the Ring.

And the Reading Nook with it's oversized leather club-chair w/ottoman and Gandalfs smoking pipe is an inviting spot to sit and indulge in the written LOTR compilation.

Outside enjoy the gorgeous Arkansas night sky around our custom "Ye Shall not Pass" fire-pit.

*** This is the Lower Level of the owners home, with separate Entrance. NO ONE is able to access your level. It is locked on the Guests side

SPECIAL NOTE: Anyone who books on Thanksgiving day or Christmas Day will be sharing the space for those days only. I do have guests on those days and must be able to use the space also. You can join us! We would love to have you! It’s is not only family, I invite anyone who needs a place to go. It's a day full of food (that I supply- hey free meal!), games and fun...with some other LOTR's fans.

Also keep in mind it is a basement. At times you may hear people walking around on the upper level. There are floor fans in the two bedrooms they are strong ones the hmmm of them helps you sleep deeper. And also helps make outside sounds. I point mine Away from me because I like the hmmm without the wind. Being the lower level of the home no outside pics. the experience is inside done in high quality and lots of detail. Tolkien fans who have been absolutely love it.

Special rule: not that i agree at alllllll but according to airbnb i must post no parties or events. Im assuming its a covid rule.

Other amenities and add ons continue to come as we are constantly upgrading and remodeling areas to give you the best experience. Closets are unfinished for now but almost no one uses them. More things coming in next two years!

I will be as available to see to any guest needs. Just a text or call, even if I'm not home. (Which, I often am not.)

The Lake, movies, bowling, and walking trials are all close within a mile.

For Restaurant selections just give me your area of interest and I will point you to the best places. From the best fried rice to best burger, bbq, steak, Mexican, or Italian etc..I know all the best spots for a great experience!

Cabin was not private as we had someone staying above us. This person went on a cursing spree around 9 pm slamming the floor above us making me and my wife extremely uncomfortable.

Very clean. Just what we needed for the weekend

We stayed two nights. Unit has easy access to lake, restaurants, etc. Two bedrooms and two main spaces - the living area with huge couch and the kitchen. Unit was clean and the two Hobbit themed doors and fireplace were the main attraction/theme. Host was very responsive to communication. Need to use the Xbox controller to get the Hobbit dvd to play on the tv.

Great location and plenty of room for our RV. Great theme and a lot of attention to detail. Our room was dark and cozy! My kids loved this place.

First of all the area is beautiful and the property is amazing. The detail the host put into the location is outstanding. Anyone who loves The Hobbit will love this place. However, it is not for anyone with mobility issues. To get to the sleeping areas or only bathroom you need to be able to step up over a large and wide threshold from the big round door. To reach the toilet you need to be able to step up into the closet it is locate in, and to get into the beds you need to be able to jump up a bit or climb over the side rails. (think of the scene where Frodo is in the giant bed after being rescued from Mt Doom) This is that bed, though instead of being made for elves it is made for large Northmen. All hobbits, and dwarves will need assistance to climb in. My wife has serious mobility issues and only with great difficulty was able to get into the lowest bed. Even so she loved our stay and was glad to have had the experience. The experience is worth the trouble, but if you are unable to navigate steps or handle getting up and down from high places (or low seats) this may not be for you.

The details that the owner has put into this property are just incredible! The kitchen and living room are fantastic! The only downside is an extremely steep driveway that is a bit difficult to traverse via vehicle or on foot. This is also in the basement of someone’s home and the floorboards above are quite noisy & the owners were walking around throughout the middle of the night the last night we were there but the other two nights we slept pretty well.
