About this house rental

Wake up to the sound of the ocean and step off the front porch onto the sand. Take a long walk on the beach to quaint downtown Cayucos if you like. You can explore the shops and restaurants. Surfing, boogie boarding or body surfing are all right out in front of the house. If you prefer you can just take it easy on the upper or lower deck. You will not be disappointed!

You may notice that there are comments about an odd layout of the house. The inside has been remodeled so now the house has 4 completely separate and private bedrooms and an additional bathroom so the layout is no longer strange. All bathrooms have also been remodeled.

Great beach house for our family, Very clean and good amenities. Some better pictures of the rooms and layout of the upstairs, downstairs and outside would help with trip planning. The view is spectacular.

So blessed to have stayed here! This was the FIRST family vacation with our kids AND grandchildren! It was the perfect location, and the space was perfect for all 3 families( adults had their own room and kids stayed together in their own room). We had amazing weather and there was plenty of beach gear to sit on or play with. We never lacked for anything! We were thankful to be able to do our laundry there and ate most meals in with a well stocked (with utensils etc)kitchen. Two families came from Texas and it was well worth the trip! We are planning for next year already!

Comfortable and clean accommodations, accurate description of amenities, easy communication, perfect weather, topped with whales and dolphins every evening, best stay-cation ever. Beach access is safe and convenient, kids enjoyed the boogie boards, parents enjoyed the beach chairs. We are grateful this home is available and would not hesitate to rent again.

We visited in June with our extended family to celebrate our daughter’s college graduation. We had 4 adult couples and one child. We had plenty of space and did not feel crowded. We hosted dinners with our extended family and had everything we needed. The host was exceptional. We discovered that the barbecue was not functional, and within a few hours he delivered a brand new one. All of our family enjoyed all of the spaces provided. A beautiful deck area for people that were not able to make it down to the beach and a second lower patio and fire pit. We enjoyed the beautiful beach views out of the large front windows every morning and our 10-year-old was ecstatic about the convenient beach access. Overall wonderful stay and we would definitely return.

Really amazing view, right on the beach, with a responsive and gracious host. We loved the gourmet kitchen, great room and all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Notes: the wifi didn’t really work, nor did the fire pit and fireplace. The view more than made up for it. Highly recommended!

This house was fabulous! We loved being there over the 4th. We enjoyed the evening fire pit time, the access to the beach. The house was fully equipped, very clean and had everything we needed for a perfect family vacation.

Great stay! House as advertised, older but with modern features. As advertised about the bedrooms, you have to walk through 1 tho get to another, but you also have to walk through 2 to get to the third, a minor issue. Our main complaint were the windows. All windows on the back of the house, overlooking the ocean were considerably dirty, and 1 door for the slider was completely fogged. Overall a great spot, but a few small things could have made it better.

We had a wonderful stay! Looked exactly like online. The connected bedrooms upstairs worked great keeping close our older adult children and our grandkids and the one upstairs bedroom that had its own access to the outside was great for our youngest adult son with no kids. The peaceful open downstairs laundry area, bedroom and spa like bathroom was great after spending the day on the beach with our kids and grandkids for a separate quite peaceful night sleep and waking up to see the beautiful ocean view.

We loved every part of our stay! The location was amazing with a beautiful beach right outside the back door. We loved the patio on both levels of the home. The firepit on the lower patio was a perfect spot for cool evenings. We will definitely stay again!

It was purely magical to sit on the patio or upper deck and listen to the waves, watch the sunset, and see grandkids boogie boarding, surfing, or walking along the beach. Perfect for families but adult friends may struggle with a lack of privacy in bedrooms and downstairs bathroom. The courtyard is perfect for storing bikes you might bring. Parking is a little tight if you have several vehicles. The swivel loveseat was fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils, and cookware but a few labels to make it easier to find things would have been a great addition. The heated toilet seat and fancy bidet were life-altering in the downstairs bath. A great time was had by all.

The location is fantastic. The host is very responsive. The layout of the house is a bit odd. The bottom story is modern n upgraded. But the shower can be seen from the outside. It makes it odd when you have a gathering by the fireplace outside and someone wants privacy to take a shower. The upstairs where most people are housed has an old bathroom. There is very little privacy because all the rooms are connected. No problem if you have a bunch of kids. If you host separate couples then it’s a bit awkward.

We had a wonderful family vacation at this Cayucos Cottage on the sand! The house was exactly as described - just steps right down to the sand. The views are amazing. We didn't cook much, but the kitchen was very well stocked with all the cookware and dishes we needed. The week we were there was very quiet - we basically had the beach to ourselves the whole time. We watched otters play in the waves next to surfers! The neighborhood is peaceful but it's also an easy quick drive to Morro Bay and lots of activities. The hosts were so very gracious and responsive. There were boogie boards and beach toys for the kids. Our whole family agreed that we would love to come back every year!

We had such a great family vacation here. You walk in to panoramic ocean views. There is a gorgeous patio and access to the beach. The beds are comfortable. There is surfing right out front. Communication with the manager was great. I highly recommend!
