Balcony and walkway closures should only affect the 11th and 3rd floor units at this time. Additionally, this complex will be undergoing a re-roofing project scheduled from May-July of 2027, weather permitting. Sterling Shores is a gated, 11 story complex in the heart of Destin. Boasting a 4300 sq.ft. private lagoon pool, gulf front pool, commercial grill area, BBQ grills, picnic area, and exercise room, located on 9 acres of lush tropical landscaping with 240 ft of beach. Be sure to take advantage of the new bike rack available for owner and guest use in the East Garage next to the ice machines. Beach service is available for guest for $45/day or $225/week plus tax and booking fee. You have to check out Sterling Shores vacation rentals for yourself!
The beach pool is heated from Nov-May, depending on temperatures. The lagoon pool is not heated.

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest! Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

The condo was immaculate and in such an awesome location. Great time. Can’t wait to come back.

Liked the location and condos. Although I was disappointed in a couple of things. To spend over $4,000 for 4 nights. I expected better. The biggest downfall was.. only 1 elevator was working in the entire building. There was always a long line of people waiting for the elevator. Which would take 15-20 min. We started taking the stairs up to the 8th floor to avoid the long elevator waits. Also, no where in the description of the condominium bookings were we told no personal canopies on the beach. We bought a brand new canopy to take to the beach which we weren’t allowed to use. We came to the beach for a family reunion with 34 people. The shore area for sterling shores was all filled with private rental umbrellas. You are only allowed to rent umbrella and chairs, Or bring your own small size umbrella and put behind the last row of private rentals. So, if you don’t want to spend $54 for a rental umbrella and 2 chairs, you need to buy a umbrella and set it up at the last row of all rentals where you can barely see the water or your children. Disappointing and will not rent at Sterling Shores again.
