About this villa rental
The cosy and rustic holiday home “Can Vaja” is situated in a quiet rural area between Pollença and Port d’Alcúdia and is perfect for relaxing holidays with the whole family or groups of friends close to the sea. The 175 m² holiday home extends across 2 floors and consists of a living room with a fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, 3 bedrooms as well as 2 bathrooms (one with a jacuzzi-style bathtub) and can therefore accommodate 6 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a washing machine, a safe, satellite TV and a games console, while a baby crib and a highchair are available on request. The extensive private outdoor area will impress you with open and covered terraces, where you can have breakfast and spend the evenings with a glass of wine and tasty home-cooked dinners from the stone barbecue. The lush garden with deck chairs is ideal to bask in the sun and relax surrounded by a beautiful panorama, while the pool invites you to take refreshing swims. From the property, it is a 6-minute drive (5.4 km) to the nearest supermarket in Port d’Alcúdia, a seaside town with scenic beaches and a charming marina. The town of Pollença is a 7-minute drive (4.7 km) away, and Port de Pollença is a 12-minute drive (10.6 km) from the property. There you can spend the days at the sandy beaches, swim in the clear blue sea or explore the many cafés and restaurants along the beach and the port. The centre of Mallorca’s vibrant capital Palma can be reached after a 35-minute drive (51 km), and the city’s airport is a 40-minute drive (60 km) away.

Pros: The salt water pool was a revelation. No nasty chlorine smell on all our clothes and skin, soft water that didn't dry our kids' skin, and no unpleasant green scum on pool inflatables. Also a good shallow area for younger kids (ours are 4 and 6 and loved it). We also spent lovely evenings in the pool, which added to the experience.
The outside area was also lovely, with lots of space for the kids to relax and play in the shade.
The villa is well equipped, spacious, good AC, good sized rooms and lovely jets in the bath.
Ignasi's communication was polite, prompt and helpful and he also allowed us a late check out, which hugely helped in terms of our flight times.
Cons: There is indeed a musty smell in the downstairs bedrooms which took a little getting used to, but it stopped bothering me after a couple of days. The outside area is not great after dark in terms of mosquitoes unless you are slathered in mosquito spray or in the pool, so be prepared and bring bug spray and you'll be fine.

Pros: The house was amazing, very spacious, really comfy beds, air con in every room. Spacious bathrooms. The pool was great. Super clean and warm to perfect temp. Also had lots of outdoor space. Outdoor dining table and outdoor sofa/furniture massive bonus. Overall amazing property. Great hosts and communication from them - super easy check in also.
Cons: Lack of necessary things to get started. I.e no washing liquid, dishwadher tabs, oil to cook, salt or pepper etc. would have been a nice addition. You NEED to have a car to stay here. nothing in walking distance. There was not enough toilet roll so we had to spend € on buying it ourselves. Meant we spent €15+ just to buy stuff we had to leave there.

Pros: Das Haus hat eine wunderschöne Terrasse, einen schönen Pool und ist insgesamt gut in Schuss.
Cons: Schlafzimmer roch etwas nach Kamin, keine Utensilien wie Spülmittel etc. vorhanden, aber gute Ausstattung beim Geschirr.

Pros: die gesamte Unterkunft war rundum perfekt und gepflegt. Sehr netter Kontakt zum Vermieter. Überlegen, wieder hin zu gehen.
