The property owner was very friendly and made sure we had what we needed, plus shared some tips. The home was clean and the open concept first floor was great for hanging out. The neighborhood was quiet and it was really nice to be on the waterway- made for a very relaxing getaway. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching boats go by.

Perfect house to enjoy OIB, the activity of the waterway and fishing off the dock a night. Great to be back on the NC coast!

My wife and I arrived to the property on Saturday afternoon around 4:30 pm. The view was amazing looking upon the intercostal waterway. A nice long wooden walkway led us to a covered sitting area. We enjoy fishing and spent several mornings and evenings enjoying a nice bottom rig bite of flounder, crockers, and black drum. There was also a floating dock attached near the end of the pier. This could easily be a great access for docking your own boat or possibly a rented pontoon from just south of this property location, close to Sunset Beach.
The kitchen provides all the kitchen essentials. Residential size refrigerator can easily hold enough food for a larger family the entire week. Great access to food Lion at Sunset or Publix and Lowe’s Foods near OIB. Great children activity area and splash pad is very convenient at OIB. There is also a full size fishing pier located at OIB with pay to park access to the beautiful Ocean Isle Beach.
The neighborhood is older but very quiet. No issues with leaving fishing’s rods and chairs outside to dry off from wash down.
Fort Fisher is just 1.5 hrs north along Hwy 17 just outside Wilmington. There is wonderful aquarium there for all ages. On the return a quick stop along Hwy 421 north is one of NC best kept historical sites- the USS North Carolina.
My family and I had a very restful week and exciting time watching our grandchildren enjoy one of NC’s most beautiful beaches. We highly recommend!
