Cozy Bear Hideaway is a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom log cabin that sleeps up to 7 people. We are conveniently located with paved road access in the Sun Rock Mountain community and just minutes from Mercier Orchards and downtown Blue Ridge! This cabin offers a spacious open deck with rocking chair front porch overlooking the custom fire pit with rock seating, as well as long-range mountain views from the back porch. Bring your s'mores and create lasting memories!

We had a great time! We enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Only thing we kinda had issues with was the stairs going down to the basement. Very steep. But overall we had a great time.

We had a great time, really nice stay here. Check-in was a little confusing, there are 2 driveways very close together and we first went down the wrong one. Our code didn’t work to open the door so we messaged the host and he promptly got us squared away at the right cabin. He said it had happened before so at least it wasn’t just us. We had an issue with the fridge not working and the host offered to deliver a cooler and ice but we had those, so said we were fine and he could have it repaired after we left. But he was going to have it repaired the next day if we needed it. Cabin worked well with a dog.

The added accommodations were perfect for families. Truly enjoyed the game room downstairs, the hot tub, the fire pit where we made plenty s’mores and the swing was a hit!

I am a rental property owner as well so I am very aware of how important reviews are. I do however always want people to be honest in reviews, as I will be. We didn’t have the best experience here. The stairs were so steep going downstairs we didn’t feel safe using them. I did go down them but didn’t allow my husband to, they are more like a ladder than stairs. We are very active people and just didn’t trust it. We chose this house because of the location, hot tub and fire pit. Because of the stairs situation, we couldn’t access the hot tub at all. The drop off behind the house doesn’t allow you to access the bottom level without going down the stairs inside. There is absolutely no “back yard” There was trash left in the kitchen trashcan when we checked in, 1/3 full. There were no soaps or shampoo left in the bathroom.We did notify the property manager about another issue and decided not to stay for the 2nd night. He did issue a refund for that night. I’d recommend adding about the stairs in the description and about accessing the bottom level is only available inside the house. A starter portion of soap, Shampoo & conditioner as well as at least 2 logs for fire pit would be a great add on as well The manager was very responsive and easy to work with and we appreciated that.
