About this cabin rental
Three Rivers Resort is ideally situated in the heart of Almont, CO, just 20 minutes south of Crested Butte and 10 minutes north of Gunnison.
Stonefly (Every cabin is named after a fly pattern.) Cabins 31-38 are identical styles. These tiny home “mountain chalets” offer all the amenities of a cabin in a modern and compact package. They are perfect for families. There is a private bedroom downstairs and a low ceiling (4 feet high) sleeping loft upstairs with mattresses on the floor. Kids love to have their own space to crawl around up here. If anyone is very big or tall, these may not be the best cabin choice. *Note of caution for small children: the steps going up to the loft are steep and narrow and could present a falling hazard. The railing in the upper sleeping area is low enough for a toddler or small child to be able to climb over, presenting a dangerous falling hazard. If you have small children, a gate for the loft stairwell is recommended.
• Approximately 400 square feet
• The bedroom has a Queen size bed and the loft has 2 twin mattresses on the floor
• Couch in living room - not a hide-a-bed. If extra bed is needed, please bring an air mattress or sleeping bag.
• Covered open deck with patio table/chairs
• Nearby community fire ring may be used
• Supplies included: paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissues, bar soap, hairdryer, trash bags, dish soap
• Not included: Anything edible (including coffee, condiments, spices), laundry detergent, shampoo and toiletries
• Parking is somewhat limited in these cabins and is limited to 2 vehicles per unit or a vehicle and small trailer (not longer than a full size pick-up truck) unhitched and parked side by side with the vehicle. Additional vehicles and longer trailers may require parking separate from the cabin and fees may apply.
• All Three Rivers Resort guests have access to private fishing on the Taylor River bordering the resort property.

All units are designated as non-smoking (including marijuana). Dogs allowed for an additional $20/night/dog, maximum of 2 dogs. No cats or other animals. Dogs may not be left alone in cabins at any time. Nightly rate is based on 4 people. Maximum occupancy is 4. Rates are typically higher during the peak season from May – September/early October and during holiday periods. Rates are adjusted based on occupancy and can change at any time. For exact rates, enter your trip dates in the availability search.

The only item I would improve is that we stayed in a cabin/tiny home off the water. I didn’t realize some of 3 Rivers’ cabins weren’t on the Taylor. If you are specifically looking for a place on the River, double-check with the resort.We stayed here for almost 15 days and enjoyed it thoroughly. Location between Taylor Res, Gunnison, and Crested Butte was perfect. Restaurant onsite was great when we didn’t want to cook. We didn’t fish or raft, but could have.Highly recommend as a destination in the Gunnison-Crested Butte corridor.

We have stayed here in the past and find it a nice getaway. Spent timne hanging around the cabin and ate some meals there. Room was clean and we found all we needed for cooking, linens, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed.It was hotter than usual and we knew there is no AC. But is was very, very difficult to cool the room in the evening with the ****** little ossilating fan provided. With a nice box fan you should be able to exhange the air in the room with cool evening air in a half hour. We went to bed at 10pm with the cabin still warm. YOU NEED TO PROVIDE BETTER FANS. The world, including Almont, is getting warmer, you need to upgrade. We will check on the status of this before we are willing to book again.
