About this house rental
Shore of Silence is a rare find on Cape San Blas. It is a 4 bedroom, gulf front home with a super modern twist. Truly a property you must see to appreciate its full appeal with custom finishes throughout. And to top it all off, there is a private screened-in gaming pool which is shallow on both ends and deep in the middle with a waterfall. A private boardwalk leads you down to the silent shores of Cape San Blas.
Upon entering the house on the 2nd level from the spiral staircase, you will be amazed by the beauty both on the inside and the views of the outside. On this living level, you will find a cook’s kitchen with a gas cook-top and a Kenmore Elite Dual Fuel which includes a side by side oven and convection oven making meals simpler. There is also the rare CookCenter which is a dual-purpose sink with a heating element for cooking.
On the ground floor is where the uniqueness is turned up a notch. There is a wonderful room for the kids made to look like they’re sleeping inside of a ship. With ceiling to floor windows, it is bright and open. Inside of the custom double bunk beds there are port holes to look through as well as a built-in TV. Also, downstairs there is a fantastic den with a ceiling lined in aluminum which includes a kitchenette, wet bar, sleeper sofa, and has sliding doors that open out onto the pool deck.
On the top floor is where you’ll find the master suite. This floor houses nothing but the large, open gulf front bedroom. The views from here are unbelievable. You can wake up in bed, and the first thing you’ll see is the crystal blue water shining from the gulf. The master bath is one unlike most, and adds to the experience of the home as it is completely open. There are double vanities, a large Jacuzzi tub and a glass door custom shower all accessible from the master with no doors.
Decks, decks and more decks!! All three levels of this gulf front home is covered in decks. There are decks with decks, a huge open deck with teak outdoor dining, covered decks, private decks. Basically there’s as much room in deck spacing as there is inside. Each of them having their own unique style of seating.

Overall we had a fantastic time. The location was ideal!! Couldn’t have been better. The pool was awesome as well. The house was a little on the dirty side. We had to wash any dish that we used due to residue/food left behind. I do believe that was from the dish washer, it’s terrible! The house was nice and cool, large rooms and very comfortable. There was an issue with some bugs but we purchased some spray. The decks were also great. Overall, we had a great time!! Really enjoyed ourselves and the rental. I would recommend to rent! The positive’s definitely out weigh the negatives. We go back in a heartbeat ❤️

If location (meaning absolutely right on the beach) means everything to you, then this place certainly has that to offer. The view is spectacular and the beach was just beautiful.
Having said that, the house is one step away from that amazingly special getaway that you can’t believe everyone doesn’t know about. And yet it isn’t…
For the price point (nearly three times what other properties ask), I expected more. Likely due to the price, I wouldn’t expect that this property is fully utilized. As such, it needed a thorough going over from a cleanliness standpoint. It is well appointed, but I believe the photos are quite dated. The house and furniture (primarily outdoors) show the wear of use, years and hurricanes. There was a leak in the first floor ceiling over one of the sliding doors, but I could not reach maintenance at the phone number provided. We did stop at the office on the way out however the next morning. The bed on the third floor master makes a significant amount of noise anytime you move, so sleeping was a bit of a chore. The refrigerator needs to be leveled as it vibrates a great deal. The noise from the neighbors pool equipment was significant as well.
The pool was beautiful and a definite plus. The enclosure needs some attention at the doors as they stuck quite a bit, and we were surprised one morning when the pool maintenance folks showed up on our first day unannounced.
Summed up…a lot of money for what this place has become. Lovely spot though…
