About this house rental
Sunset Traditions is truly stunning and is one of the largest homes in the SeaGrass neighborhood! It is a 5 bedroom home (plus a nursery off the master bedroom with a full size crib and rocker) with a game room/bar area on the ground floor that leads out to the spacious pool area. The views are incredible and your walk to the beach is less than 100 feet. This pet friendly home is perfect for several different families to rent together as there are two large living areas on separate floors, huge decks, two sets of washer/dryers, a game room and large bedrooms.
The ground level of the home has the main entrance and foyer, a large game room with a pool table, television, full bath, queen sleeper sofa, bar area with full size fridge, and access to the garage which has a second full size fridge. The game room leads out to the private pool, with a spacious deck for sunbathing, as well as to a huge patio area and fenced in lawn facing the gulf.
On the 1st level of the home you will find 4 bedrooms (2 kings, 1 queen, and a kids room with a twin/twin and full/twin bunk bed), and a large sitting area w/a flat panel TV that is perfect for watching movies. There are 2 full bathrooms on this level, with shared access from the 4 bedrooms. From the sitting area, there is access to the utility room that has a washer/dryer, and also includes a mini refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. There is also access to the large deck via the king and queen bedrooms, and also from the sitting area. Each of the bedrooms on this floor has a TV with the exception of the bunk room.
The 2nd level of this home is spectacular! There is the master bedroom, living, dining and kitchen areas. This is a very open floor plan which is perfect for family gatherings and meals. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a chaise lounge that is just calling you to relax, read a book and enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean. The bathroom is top of the line with a huge walk in shower and stand alone tub. There is also another washer/dryer in this room.
The living room has a huge tv and beautiful views! There is a large dining room table as well as bar stools. The kitchen is like no other, with a large stove, huge refrigerator and a walk in pantry, a wine cooler and stand alone ice maker. This floor has incredible views seen from the windows that sweep across the whole level and from the spacious deck.
Sunset Traditions also offers free Wi-Fi, local and long distance telephone service. There is a separate pool and hot tub that can be heated for an additional charge. This is a pet friendly home that is just 100 feet from the beach.

The house was very clean and spacious for my large family. We had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving at your house! The high quality kitchen was awesome. The beach views were amazing. Thanks!

First stay with Coastal Joe. Enjoyed our stay. The place was wonderful and the steps from the water was close. Coastal Joe was prompt with their responses and even helped us locate kayak rentals since the water was perfect. Normally we stay right on the water but the price and location of this one could not be beat.

Pros - house was spacious and had lots of amenities, layout was perfect for our family, location was great (not beachfront but unobstructed views of the gulf due to empty lot in front), easy and short walk to the beach, nice neighborhood. Private pool was very nice and clean. I would rent again assuming home has been refreshed (see Cons). Homeowner seemed very nice.Cons - home needs a DEEP cleaning. Following are things we noted during our stay. All appliances were very dirty and refrigerators smelled (I ran the self clean feature on the oven one day to clean the oven because it was gross on the inside), the upholstered furniture was dirty and stained, air vent covers were covered in dust, bath shower floors had soap scum and/or mildew, outdoor shower bench was broken with rusty nails exposed (and we had 4 young children in our party), all door locks and knobs on the outside were corroded due to the salt air exposure, baseboards and light fixtures were covered in dust. Our stay was at the end of peak season so I’m sure this has a lot to do with the condition of the house and how previous guests treated the home and its contents. The overall vibe of the home just kinda felt dirty. The pictures on the website of the home are somewhat deceiving as to its current condition (which I find to be the case in most instances). Also, our checkin was delayed due to the condition the home was left in by the group that stayed in the home the prior week which took the cleaning service extra time to make ready for our family. I got what I thought was a good price compared to prices I was seeing for similar properties on the Cape, but even so, the cleanliness and comfort is no where near what it should be for what you pay, imo. And yes I did mention to someone at the property management company these cons when I returned the keys at checkout. I just hope these issues get addressed for future guests.
