After a day of shredding the slopes, you can snuggle up by the gas fireplace to thaw yourself out. Sweet Vacations start at Sugar Mountain! Other Things to Note:
Shop and relax in nearby downtown Banner Elk,(short 6 mile drive) or enjoy one of the many restaurants located in town. You are just a short drive to Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Beech Mountain, Valle Crucis, Boone or Blowing Rock.
It is highly recommended to bring a 4WD or AWD to access Sugar Mountain. During winter months we highly suggest bringing snow chains to assist.
Please note local authorities may ticket/fine for improper equipment (chains on tires during winter months)
• A Rental Agreement is required to be signed per North Carolina Chapter 42A Vacation Rental Act.

We had a great stay! We had great communication from the host, the place was clean, and the location was ideal.

Location is fantastic. True ski in ski out very close to the base. You can watch all the slope activities while having your coffee. It was especially cozy at night when the mountain is lit up, they are blowing snow and you’re sitting comfortably by the fire. It’s the upstairs part of the building which was the perfect size for my wife and I.
