The property is down a lane in a very rural location about 2Kms outside Rance and it is about as tranquil and relaxing as you could imagine with just the distant baa ing of the sheep for company. The bedrooms and bathroom and toilet are downstairs with the living accommodation and patio upstairs which works very well. We absolutely loved it and were blessed with fine weather. To note the downstairs toilet is very compact.

Excellent place to pass a few days in the countryside. The house is perfect for a family of four with a double bedroom and bunk room for the kids. Rance is a quiet village and a great base for cycling (a North South Ravel - abandoned railway turned into cycle track) passes nearby and there are tons of possibilities for great circuits. The forests around the village are also great for walking. The location with sheep grazing in the valley opposite is very relaxing and Annick was a great host.

This was a great place to stay near Chimay. The pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful farmhouse conversion in the country.

Stayed here for just under three weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Annick was a kind and courteous host who even provided a few goodies to get us started as we arrived late on a Sunday after most shops where closed. Rance itself is within walking distance but doesn't have much to offer. A car is pretty much essential to get around and explore the countryside. We would have given the property 5 stars but the lack of a laundry made it a little difficult over the three weeks. Annick was kind enough to do same laundry for us. The sheep were a delight to watch each evening while having a drink on the deck. The property was well fitted out and had everything needed to home cook meals. Nice and clean also

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The gite is well equipped in a nice rural location, and the terrace is great for eating in the evening. Host was friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
