About this house rental
Check out "Henson - Upper" (upper level) located in the historic McCabe-Lancaster House, a classic beach cottage with an open floor plan and nostalgic charm. The property is across the street from the ocean, and just steps away from the beach access with a lifeguard stand.
Both levels of this cottage may be rented individually or as an entire home. "Henson - Upper" is the second level and features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large kitchen, living and dining area. "Henson - Lower (C062)" is on the first floor and includes a ramp and also features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, a large kitchen and living and dining areas.
The upper and lower levels are both accessed from outside. Each floor has a large open porch with swing, rockers, table and chairs. There is an outdoor shower shared for both units and a designated golf cart parking and charging station with room for two carts. Upon request a portable crib and high chair can be made available.
Come experience beach living the way it used to be, you'll be glad that you did!. Simple, efficient, and close to the sand and water. Lovingly maintained with great respect to it's history while also keeping it relevant for today's more discriminating guests, this home is made for making wonderful memories with your family. This is a non-smoking unit. No pets allowed.

Stay Restrictions: Saturday/Saturday rental in Summer. Minimum three night stay other seasons.
Renter Requirements: Renters must be a minimum of 25 years old. Groups of unrelated occupants that do not reside in the same primary residence must be 30 years old.
Bedding Configuration: 2 Queens, 2 Twins
Parking: Parking behind home for three vehicles.
Pet Policy: Pets are NOT welcomed in this property.
Prohibited: Smoking. Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).

This was the perfect place to stay! The rental was extremely clean and the kitchen was the best stocked beach house kitchen we’d ever seen. The porch was a great place to relax in the evenings and the distance to the beach was ideal.

We love Henson Upper for our family vacation! Old school beach house, very short walk to beach access and great porch swing. But, now that Bryant is cleaning the house, it is obvious because there are spots on the carpet, the dishwasher front was not cleaned and the side of the refrigerator where the trash is kept was not cleaned nor were the shower heads in the bathrooms. Think the Bryant cleaning folks need to be a little more thorough.

It was a nice stay. Loved the porch and the distance to the beach. I think the rental could use some updates. The carpet was very stained as were the couches/ comforters. Other than that we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the stay very much.

House was comfortable enough…doors in the house have to be pressed firmly on in order to latch shut, the cabinets squeak and are extremely outdated so it was no surprise when the downstairs apartment complained about noise. It was frustrating trying to keep our 2 year old quiet when a few modernizing updates could really improve this property. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with children as the sound travels to the lower apartment and the property manager was none to friendly about it. The front and back doors also need the locks replaced, the bottom locks do not do anything only the deadbolt. This would be an incredible property if it were modernized and updated as well as friendly property managers! Also, half the dishes were dirty in the cabinets and had to be rewashed but they were sure to tell us we had to clean every dish and put them away (which was fine) but it seems as if nobody checks that the property is actually clean and kept before visitors come. I was super disappointed in our stay. The area is great but this property was not!!
