About this villa rental
Spend your holidays with your friends or your family at Villa Afrodite and you'll feel suspended between the blue sky and the Mediterranean sea, while surrounded by spectacular views. With mild temperatures you'll sunbathe by the panoramic pool, open all year round, or relax in your personal jacuzzi. In winter, imagine of listening to some music or reading a book lazily laying on the comfortable sofa in the panoramic living area facing the pool, with miles of gently sloping countryside at your feet.
Villa Afrodite is a wonderful and elegant villa located a few miles from Ragusa and on the way leading down to the beaches of Marina di Ragusa and Punta Secca.
Recently built, it is surrounded by a large well kept Mediterranean garden (800 sqm), equipped with dining table, parasol and barbecue and a shaded verandah for tasty alfresco meals.
The private infinity pool (7x10 m) is lit up at night and provided with sunbeds and loudspeakers (for cable radio). From here you can admire breathtaking views of the valley and the Mediterranean coast.
Moreover, at guests' disposal a bowling green and a tennis/mini-soccer court, ideal for spending pleasant afternoons dedicated to fun and sports.
The property has an internal surface of around 500 sqm and it is divided in 3 floors connected by a comfortable staircase Stylish and elegant Villa Afrodite can accommodate up to 12 adults and baby.
On the main floor, at the pool level, you will find a large and bright panoramic living area , furnished with two comfortable sofas, plasma-screen satellite TV and dining a table for 12 people. It is surrounded by big glass windows and it has got direct access to the verandah and the pool. From the living room you will enjoy a wonderful view over the pool, down to the sea.
The functional and hi-tech kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware, big electric oven, small electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher.
Beside the living area, there is the master double bedroom provided with TV, DVD/VHS player and bathroom ensuite with double sinks and wellness facilities (such as hydromassage shower and hot tub).
On the top floor there are two double bedrooms with panoramic view, elegantly furnished and both equipped with ensuite bathroom with shower box. In one double bedroom we can easily add an extra bed and/or a camping bed.
Below the pool level, with private entrances but connected to the rest of the villa by an inner staircase, we created a dependance made up of a double bedroom, a three-bed-bedroom with bathroom ensuite and a fifth bathroom with shower box and laundry room. The rest of this level hosts a large playroom, equipped with ping-pong and pool table, table football and darts, ideal for the amusement of adults and children.
Included free Wi-fi, air conditioning and safe. The property is also equipped with stereo amplification system with DVD/CD/MP3 digital player and cable radio throughout the villa.
Private garage fot up to 4 cars.
We will also be very please to make you enjoy a free visit to our oil mill and olive grove close by or to let you experience our chef-in-villa-service or cooking classes or also a relaxing massage at the villa or a yoga class.

This villa was amazing!, beautiful views from the terrace and the infinity pool which was lit up at night. Totally clean and comfortable, really spacious, everything provided. The games room and tennis court were a real bonus for a large group. Well located for short drive to the beaches or into Ragusa. Host is lovely.

Great experience overall. The location is a bit isolated in a sparsely populated area and with a fantastic view. Supermarkets in nearby villages are about 15 minutes by car. A fantastic beach with crystal clear water is also easily reacheable appr. 15 min away by car.
It is obvious that the house is used only for rental as small details are lacking. Examples include lack of any cutting board, broken light bulbs, no shelf/tray for putting schampo and soap in the shower, dull kitchen knives etc
Minor details (very easily fixed) and the overall experience was fantastic!

We stayed at the villa with our 2 adult sons, their girlfriends and our 16 year old, and Villa Afrodite provided a beautiful space for us to holiday together. It's a really spacious villa and worked well with our large group.
The best features are the larger than usual pool, the living space with French doors that open out onto the pool area. It's a clean, modern holiday home with 3 excellent bedrooms and ensuites. The fourth bedroom and bathroom is situated in the cavernous basement, which is rather a dark, scary place. There's so much unused space down there, and just some random bits of furniture, a dart board and a table football. My 16 year old son eventually got used to sleeping down there (he had no choice) but I can relate to the previous comments made about the basement.
It's about a 20 minute drive to Marina di Ragusa where there are numerous restaurants and a lovely beach. We hired speedboats and spent a whole day on the water, which was lovely. The downside is that you can't walk anywhere as there is nothing local and there is a fairly busy road beneath the property, which I thought would be intrusive, but it actually wasn't a problem.
There were a couple of niggles we had when we were there, that couldn't be fixed: the pool filters were broken we had to be careful not to stand on them; the netting to screen the tennis court from the next door property had ripped and fallen down, but was going to take a day to fix, so we lived with it as we used the tennis court every day; the kitchen desperately needs large tumbler glasses - a very easy and cheap thing to sort.
As a holiday rental, it worked really well for our family. The pool, tennis court and living space and view are the best features of this property.

I stayed with my adult family - all in their 20's, that was a great place to just chill out or indulge in tennis, pool, table football, table tennis and swim. After my initial disappointing first impressions when we arrived, the place did grow on me and my adult children loved the space with all the activities on offer.
This property is exclusively a holiday let, with minimalist furnishing & no personal items - books, DVD's, etc. Also very disappointing TV options, as unless you a keen fan of Tunisian 'free to view' ...... there is basically nothing, not even BBC World News or CNN. Doubly disappointing as the World Cup was on. The Wifi however is good.
The 3 upper floor double bedrooms are excellent with good aircon, super comfortable beds, great en-suites and bathroom facilities (incl. Jacuzzi in the master bedroom). The fourth double bedroom is in the basement with no outside window - a serious 'short straw' last choice. My 21 year old son decided to sleep with his older brother in a double bed upstairs rather than use this bedroom.
The property is a huge modern house with vast internal spaces & high ceilings, where an Architect has been let loose to make a statement.
If you are into security there are safe quality steel doors throughout. However the electrics are very eccentric and temperamental - at first glance it all looks very impressive but their 15 year old tech is now out-dated and dodgy. The living area is very minimally furnished and definitely short of a sofa - would comfortably seat 5 but not if you want to stretch out with your feet up.
The pool is lovely but the house is missing some shaded relaxing out-door space - as they have applied the same minimalist approach outside. The BBQ is a small charcoal Weber far too small to cook for a family, which for me was a massive let down as I love to BBQ - we only used it once.
The kitchen is fairly well equipped but almost no cooking basics that you'd normally expect - you will have to buy everything from coffee, olive oil, sugar, etc. They did provide washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets - but I think what's there is what's been left over from previous guests.
A beautiful house with a great view, but missing that bit extra to make your stay really great. 3.5 stars out 5.
