About this cabin rental
The Aultnamain Shepherds Hut is a cosy compact space, a peaceful retreat where you can relax & unwind in front of the wood burning stove or outside on the decking area. The Shepherds hut is in a private area of our garden looking out onto peatland & forest.
We live in a rural area surrounded by nature with stunning views in all directions, There’s mountains, lochs, beaches, coastal paths, forest trails, distilleries, heritage sites, boat trips, dolphin tours, rivers, waterfalls & wildlife in abundance & so much more, all just a short drive away oh & big big skies for star gazing & the northern lights.
Our Shepherds hut is situated near to the stunning NC500, 20 minutes from the town of Tain, where all amenities can be found.
The hut offers a warm & comfortable place to relax & unwind.
Our hut caters for 2, with a king sized bed, ensuite shower room, kitchen area and a wood burning stove.
Outside, there is seating & open views.

Cute little shepherds hut, very thoughtfully laid out so I had plenty of facilities, plus room under the bed to store own things so wasn’t tripping over my bags and the dog bed all the time.
Lovely Mountain View through the patio doors and window next to the bed.
Beautiful garden for the dog to sniff around after a tiring day climbing hills to the Fyrish Monument and running through the Dornoch Bay sand dunes.
The angle of the hut makes it feel like you’re completely alone, but with the security of being on the edge of a small cluster of houses. Good if you’re a solo traveller.
