Located on a quiet 1-acre lot in a secluded forest setting, this property offers privacy and tranquility. The house features multiple floors, each offering unique amenities and comfortable living spaces.
The ground floor includes a luxurious king bedroom, bathroom with shower, work station and laundry room.
The main floor boasts an open concept, fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, keurig, and drip coffee combo, stove top, and oven. Guests can gather around the bistro table and chairs or the bar stools at the island for casual dining and conversation. There is separate dining area, and spacious living area equipped with a large L shaped sofa and TV. On this level there are 2 bedrooms; 1 queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom that includes a shower and a king bedroom. There is also a beautiful conversation area with 2 sofas, a tv and a work station.
A deck accessible from the main floor provides outdoor space for relaxation. It features a solid wood table and chairs that can accommodate up to 12 people, as well as a comfortable sofa area for lounging and enjoying the serene surroundings.
On the second floor, you'll find the primary bedroom, which boasts a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with double sinks and a shower. There is also a family room with a queen sofa bed, perfect for additional guests. Another bedroom on this floor is equipped with twin bunk beds and a full-size bed, offering flexible sleeping arrangements for various group sizes.
Both the main and second floors have access to separate decks, allowing guests to enjoy the fresh air and scenic views.
Outside, the property features a basketball court, providing a fun activity for guests of all ages. A fire table and Adirondack chairs add a warm and inviting ambiance. Within walking distance of the house, enter one of the most magical areas of the Golden Gate National Park trail system! Horseback riding is also closeby.

We were an extended family of 6 adults and 4 children (all under 10). The house is spacious, in a beautiful quiet location. It has 3 large community spaces where the children could play and the adults could socialize. It is about a 10 minute walk from the trailhead for some beautiful hikes through the woods; at the same time it is only 15 minutes from a number of inviting beaches. Guests should be aware that there are 3 bathrooms, 2 of which are ensuite. That means that 2 bedrooms require descending either one or two flights of stairs to get access to the one bathroom not within a bedroom. That worked for us but might not for every group. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

The photos of this place speaks for itself. The home is spectacular and cozy. The property is stunning, settled into a quiet neighborhood. In awe of its architecture and did not want to leave. Instructions were a breeze and it was easy to get in touch with the owner if needed. We had family meet for dinner and cooked in the kitchen which was well stocked. We drove up initially from Big Sur and my brother wanted to see a banana slug but we didn’t come across any there. Arrived here in Montara and this property had tons along the garden!! We were ecstatic and would look for them every chance we stepped outside. So cute! Thank you for the warm cozy stay. We hope to come back again.

A very fun place to stay with kids. Three level house and amazing forest like property to explore. The hosts were very helpful and responsive.

Loved the home, it’s space and the setting. Great kitchen supplies, family meeting rooms, bedroom sizes. We would come back to this home for our next visit. As noted from other reviews, cobwebs indoors and spiderwebs outdoors.
