A very comfortable apartment that was about a 10-15 minute walk to the historic area of town. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and provided excellent recommendations for our first visit to Porto. The place was just a few minutes from the Metro which proved to be very convenient. The breakfast was excellent, but I was disappointed that it was not included in the cost of our stay.

The property was accurately described. First the good: The apartment was clean although the smell of chlorine took a few hours to dissipate (I would rather extra clean than dirty though). The staff was nice and responsive. I chose this VRBO and paid more than other apartments for 2 reasons. One was for air conditioning. The ductless split unit (only 1 in the entire apt) was broken. I called and someone came immediately. She said it was working and I should leave it on and the warm air blowing out would eventually turn cold. That never happened and the apt. got hotter. I called again the following day and supposedly (while I was out) a mechanic came. The unit was turned off when I got back. Upon turning it on, again, warm air only. I own 6 ductless splits and I am very familiar how to work these. Although the apartment was really nice along with a cool outside patio, our sleeping was uncomfortable (not to mention the subpar beds). I complained to Catia (manager) and asked that she refund some portion of the rental. The only thing she did was offer to not charge me the taxes, which I was under the assumption that were included in the total price as the VRBO rental said "Total Price". I also was offended that in an email she claimed that the unit was working properly and that each time a team member came, it was working. That is a lie as the first time someone came, the staff witnessed the warm air and told me it would eventually turn cold.
