Nice spacious apartment with the bonus of a washing machine, but would benefit from a laundry airer. As others have mentioned the property is quite dark but this helps the property stay cool, the daytime temperature was 23C and the apartment was cool.
Location is far out if you’re used to be being in Ribeira and limited restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Limited hanging space for washing. If you arrive at nighttime you’ll need to use the torch on your phone to get the key, agree with other reviewer about poor lighting on the stairs. Not a big deal, but was the only place I stayed which didn’t offer bottled water.

Everything was great. I just couldn’t turn on the lights on the exterior staircase, and for safety they should be working.

Floor plan, maid service if you wish. We didn’t use it and left our “Do not disturb” hanger on the door 24 hrs to make sure no one came in at any time. We were able to get free additional coffee pods during our 11 night stay.
In the beginning the communication was bad. They had given us 2 different addresses to pick up the key. When we wanted to clarify which address to go to so we can pickup the key there was zero response. It was dark raining and cold. It was difficult to find. We found an address, but quickly realized that we were in the wrong building, but at least we were out of the rain and cold. My husband then preceded to find the correct place, which he did. Open the door to the apt, left his umbrella there and came back for me. If you don’t like stairs then this might not be the place for you. It’s 2 flights up on a spiral staircase not covered. When we return to the apartment we couldn’t open the door with our key card. So now here we are standing in the rain, cold and windy on the top level that is not covered. My husband tried calling earlier when we couldn’t find the place, but no answer. I then called and thankfully someone answered and she said it must be the battery and she would send someone right over from a short block away. We waited @ least 15-20 mins outside in the rain, windy weather. A young man finally arrived very nice and started to take the door mechanism apart. It is now 7:15, we arrived to the apartment around 5:45. Even though they knew it was a battery issue, he didn’t bring new batteries with him. So now we have a door that we can’t close and or leave, it took him another 15-20 mins before he came back to finally finish up. We didn’t get out to eat dinner until 8:00 or so. We had to scramble to find a place to eat close by. 2) Not close to center, I’m not sure how they calculated .6 miles. The center is more like 1.2 miles. We like to walk so we were ok with it, but I picked the place to be close to the center. 3) The apartment was freezing. The next day we went to their main reception which was about 5min walk to ask for an electric heater. Which we got :) 4) We planned on cooking, but the electric stove didn’t work properly.

good: very clean, communication service (contactable all time), location (only a few minutes away from downtown), the beds were ok, dishwasher was good, towel change for no extra charge (they did not dry in the bathroom because no heater or window and the aeration wasn't doing his job, only made noise); supermarket close by; electric kettle, toaster, big fridge
Stay: end of january for 3 nights; we stayed in the MOLHE -App (upper level) . So I only have exp. with this app. I travel a lot so I might compare the quality of accomodation. the heating wasn't good at all. Only 3 "small" electrical heater in the app. One in each bedroom (that was ok if you let the doors closed) and one in the living room. No heater in the bathroom! We stayed 3 nights in the app and the weather wasn't good. Cold and rainy outside. So for us the app wasn't warm enough at any time (even though we put the heater up to 25/26 degrees- heater in the living room didn't have enough power). Then, practical things: the mirror in the bathroom was to the right from the toilet, not above the sink. Was quite circuitous). Also the shower: not much water coming out of the shower head. If you have long hair, it takes hours... also kitchen and bathroom are using boiler. So sometimes warm water took a while/ no warm water was left/water temperature was changing during shower.. not so nice... water in the sink in the bathroom only went lukewarm. The chairs in the living room were very uncomfortable (basic wood, cold, no cussions), the table made of stone (so very cold as well if there is not much heating). The sofa was a bit worn out. No scissors. Then, we paid 11 Euro per person for breakfast. They only had a few coffee pads in the kitchen. If you wanted some more, there was a sign, 0,50ct extra per pad. Breakfast: 2 choices (only sweet but ok for us), but only 1 very tiny butter and 1 very tiny jam. So for us not enough. The Croissant was delicious, the buns good and the cereals/granola /fruits and orange juice very delicious as well. So we bought cheese, coffee, butter and extra jam in the supermarket.
