About this cabin rental
222 Poolin Around is a five-bedroom lodge at Maranatha Resort in Cosby, built for the size of group that usually has to book two houses. Sixteen beds and four and a half bathrooms, sleeping up to 30.
The indoor pool is private to the lodge and heated. A great place for large groups who want to be able to swim year-round, come rain or shine.
Sleeping is spread across five rooms. Three of them have king beds, two of those with their own bathroom. The fourth room is the one the kids will claim: three sets of queen-over-queen bunks plus a twin-over-twin. The fifth is a queen.
There is a theater room with proper seating and an 86-inch screen, and a separate game room with a pro pool table, an arcade cabinet and foosball. Between those and the pool, a rained-out day is full of things to do.
The hot tub sits on the back deck looking out over national forest, which is the part guests tend to mention. Below it there's a fire pit and a swing. The front porch is deep enough to sit on while the kids run around in front of you.
The kitchen is set up to cook for a crowd, with a table long enough to actually seat everyone. Feeding thirty people in restaurants three times a day adds up quickly, and this one is built so you don't have to. There's a washer and dryer in the lodge, and the roads in are easy with no steep grades.
Dogs are welcome.

Worth knowing before you book
- Cosby is the quiet end of the area, so the Parkway attractions are a drive rather than a walk. For a group planning to spend most of its time at a lodge with a pool and a theater, that's the right trade.
- The lodge is non-smoking. All guests review and sign a rental agreement before check-in, and we recommend travel insurance.
- Hot tubs are drained, sanitized and refilled between stays, so yours may still be warming on your first night.

The place was amazing! Pictures dont do this place justice. My nephews enjoyed it so much they hated to leave. All 3 of them went around with their Ipads taking pictures of this gorgeous house! The bunk room was beyond enough space. The 2 king beds with bathrooms were very large and on the 1st floor! We didnt use the theater room but looked amazing. Hot tub was enjoyed by everyone in our group. You do have to buy your own logs for the fireplace; however, there is a place just down the road that you pay 1 per log! The grill outside is charcoal and worked great. Its only about 45 mins from pigeon forge which is great. Do wish the living room had more space to sit. Also the pacman machine you have to pay to use in the game room. Overall great house, great location, and great price. Will be booking again!

All parties enjoyed the vacation & the house was large. No fuss home. Easy to keep tidy & low pressure since it far from pristine. We loved the location. Close to hikes & an easy drive to the tourist towns. Overall, we felt the price of the house even with the amenities (pool, hot tub) was not the best value. We loved the yard & giant kitchen table.
Problem #1: Property is not clean & a bit worn. We spent a bit of time wiping down surfaces & were not hindered in fun or relaxation, but we suspect there was no cleaning between rentals.
Examples:
•lots of hair in bathrooms
•extremely dirty windows & glass doors
•scents from other people’s perfume/ products in one bed
•litter around the exterior
•Plastic confetti in pool
•moldy shower curtains
•left over debris from last renters under couches, in corners
Problem #2: Service people showing up unannounced.
•our first day a cleaner showed up and asked to vacuum all the rugs & take pictures. We had a baby sleeping, a mother napping, and one adult watching kids in the pool. So it was inconvenient & strange, but also disruptive.
•easter morning during our brunch another person showed up to cut the grass. We had to stop and clean up our lawn toys & had the buzzing of the lawn mower as background noise for our well planned & executed holiday brunch. Very annoying.
•our 3rd morning chainsaw buzzing rattled the quiet morning for several hours, starting around 8 AM
