About this house rental
Cozy Cove offers year round opportunities for a fun-filled vacation. Whether it's Lake Champlain's famous boating, waterskiing, and fishing, or the beautiful Fall foliage, or the outstanding winter trail systems for cross country, snowmobiling and skiing, Cozy Cove is a great location to get to it all with ease.
The home has magnificent views and features a brand new large front deck for friends and family to gather and soak in the east facing view of Vermont mountains. Lake Champlain on the New York side is the place to be. NO weeds. The water is crystal clear and you can see straight done - it's awesome. Our home is Lake Champlain's jewel tucked away in a quiet cove where swimming and family fun is easy access..
Lounge and relax on the spacious deck complete with table and chairs and grill. Inside the home is ranch style with large open concept with great room for entertaining. Large great room with 65" flat screen TV with full internet access. Game table, games, books, dvds are also supplied for entertainment.
Private master bedroom with queen bed and its own lavish bathroom. Master bathroom is graced with a super large 42 inch wide tub/shower. Front bedroom can accommodate 4 or more guests with full bed and 2 twin beds. Third bedroom sleeps 2 with another nice queen bed. Bedrooms are extra roomy to accommodate portable cribs. Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and all the trimmings anyone would need. Gorgeous custom one of a kind 9 foot farmer's table in dining room awaits all to enjoy the spectacular views while dining. Dining table comfortably seats 10 or more. Full laundry room with new washer and dryer.
Lakefront is pebble beach with easy access to put in kayaks. Two kayaks are available for use. And don't forget to bring your boat and/or water crafts. As much as we would love to control Lake Champlain we cannot. We strive to put the dock in for June, depending on lake water tables. As soon as it is safe to put the dock in, we will oblige. Lake Champlain can be calm or very rough waves and we like to always advise our boat/water craft guests to be mindful to not leave anything tied to the dock. We recommend the use of the public boat launch which is only minutes away to put in and take out your water crafts. There is plenty of parking at the house for trailers too.
The backyard has new decks for lounging and a fire pit for night time toasting marsh mellows and family fun.
For a great winter retreat, Cozy Cove offers easy access to snowmobile trails. The North Country has the best trail systems, fully groomed. Whiteface Ski Resort and Lake Placid are close and our location is perfect to get to it all. Montreal is only 45 min away as well.
Whether it's winter activities or summer activities, we are avid boaters, skiers, hikers, and snowmobilers and can offer many suggestions.
We are a strict NO PETS and NO SMOKING OF ANY KIND property. We respect and support our guests' expectations for a healthy, pet and smoke-free home.

This place has a beautiful southward view of Lake Champlain and was the perfect wading depth for our 6 year old grandkids, with a partially sandy bottom. I don’t know how far out an adult would need to go out to get over your head, but it would be a long ways. The road between the house and the lake is not busy. The shoreline is pretty rocky so bring your water shoes. The front deck, kitchen table, and living room are spacious. Only real downside was one back bedroom smelled a bit like mothballs and dog urine and the master bedroom’s bed was held up by cinder blocks (which is pretty painful to discover the first night at 2am). Spacious private back yard, quiet neighborhood, and views of the biggest Macintosh orchard in the world. Short drive to Walmart & Canada. A nice place to visit.

This would have been a 5 star stay, but for the main road between the house and the lake access. The pictures suggest a yard leading to the lake - and appear to purposefully omit images of the road. Luckily our kids are old enough that this was not a serious concern. That being said, it seems obvious that the road is not mentioned, at all.

It's a nice three bedroom house right by the lake. Quiet leafy neighborhood. You can go kayaking in the lake if you want. Groceries and Restaurants are in Plattsburgh (a convenient 10-15 minutes away).There's lots to do in this area if you are interested, or you can chill at the house and take in the scenery as well. Host was responsive and nice.
