This home away from home offers the best of both worlds: a private location in a beautiful wooded setting and very close to town. You can walk or bike to everything and there is no need to take the car at all. Hikers will be pleased to know that Heritage Trail and Alligator Trail are right here - only two blocks away. Walk to the coffee shop and grocery store as well. In addition, you will enjoy 100 feet of private Lake Michigan beach frontage, and when you are at the beach, you would never know it's so close to town!
Inside, this air-conditioned retreat enjoys a welcoming living area with beautiful vistas of north and south Manitou islands, inviting sofas, and a smart TV with streaming and cable to keep you entertained during your stay. The kitchen has been appointed with all the major appliances needed to prepare delicious homemade treats for everyone and even try new recipes. Enjoy your feast indoors or on the lakefront deck with impressive views.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Perfect place for a family ranging from 18 months to age 68. The beach was just out the back door and town a 5 minute walk down the driveway. Very private due to the long driveway through the woods to the street. Couldn’t be better!

Blue Bear is the perfect place to stay and enjoy all that Glen Arbor has to offer. With its own idyllic beach on Sleeping Bear Bay, walking distance to town and just across the street from the Heritage Trail, the location CANNOT be beat. The cottage is well appointed and cozy with breathtaking views and sweetly tucked in the woods so it feels "away" even though it's close to everything. Just dreamy. We'll be back again and again.

We just finished a wonderful stay at Blue Bear. We loved the quiet and being right on Lake Michigan with a beautiful private sandy beach; yet, just a short walk down the road, and we were in the lovely, bustling town of Glen Arbor. Inside, the house was fully furnished, and the kitchen had all the amenities one could want. The Heritage Trail was less than a half mile from the home. Overall, it was a great place to stay for both the location and the comfortably furnished home. We would definitely stay at Blue Bear again.
