Stayed with the family. Grand kids loved the pool. The house is bright, clean and everything worked. Appreciated the beach chairs and wagon. Family already planning the next stay.

The house itself was nice, but there’s a reason we always rent with private owners over rental companies. The companies just don’t care as much. My parents (65), my sister and brother in law (30s), my husband and myself (40s) and our five kids (6-14) had plenty of room and we were in great walking distance to everything. However, we received an email two days before our stay letting us know the dishwasher was out of order and they apologized for the inconvenience. Fine, we grabbed disposable stuff so we didn’t spend the entire week doing dishes for 11 people. The front door knocker and many of the towel hangers in the house are hanging on by literally one stripped screw, so a storm halfway through the week blew that off. The pool guy came on Thursday and told us to stay out for 15-30 minutes. My daughter was out for 45 and I stayed out for 2 hours. We lost 150 worth of swimsuits. The biggest issue is the water heater. It’s not even that it isn’t big enough for the house. It’s that even if no one has taken a shower before you, you get two minutes of the right temp water (I finally timed it with my smart watch) before it starts vacillating between freezing and scalding. I ended up having to help my daughter (8) shower all week just so she wasn’t in tears under ice cold water. I emailed the property manager about it after 24 hours. They promised someone would be out the same day. No one showed. I emailed again asking for an update and got no response. We were disappointed.
