The property is really nice. Unfortunately as soon as you enter the settee and carpet are stained. There are also marks all over the walls. The kettle was also dirty. I emailed about this and didn't get a response. I emailed again and they said someone would swap the kettle but they did this while we were out which I don't appreciate as I specifically told them not to enter when we weren't there. It is an invasion of privacy to let yourself in when you have people staying. Also I booked the property because of the washer dryer. However I could not get the dryer to work and despite my email nobody came to help. I also emailed to ask how to switch the extractor fan on but nobody replied. On of the days we had no hot water, my first email was ignored but after the second somebody came to fix it. The welcome booklet was full of spelling mistakes which felt lazy to me. Overall it is a nice property but the standard was dropped by all these things. It wasn't worth what I paid for it. For what I paid I expected a much higher standard.

The communication at check-in was excellent. The house is on a secluded space set back from the road. It is quite small but fine for a single traveller or couple. The bedroom is a very good size with a decent shower room en-suite. It is warm and the kitchen is well equipped in the main. I notice a number of people have said the bed was comfortable but I would say if you have neck or back issues it may not be ideal. There were a couple of other issues with a damaged blind in the bedroom and a very dull (almost nonexistent) light in the downstairs toilet which were addressed by the host via email but were planned to be fixed after we had checked out. Hopefully that will be sorted now.
