Awesome home in Cortona AR

This picturesque property in the hills is located about 3 km from Cortona. The vacation home consists of two separate residential units that are rented together. The various living rooms, two kitchens, 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms are spread over three floors and furnished in traditional Tuscan country style. Outside there are several garden sitting areas in the shade of old lime trees; a little below is the private pool area with sun loungers and umbrellas; furthermore on the property a small park and a play area with table tennis, bocce and badminton. The owner is happy to spoil his guests with products from his own vegetable garden; wine and olive oil can be tasted and purchased on site and on request the owners will be happy to cook local dishes for their guests. A footpath leads from the house directly up to the ancient Etruscan town: Cortona offers its visitors a particularly splendid and lively old town; picturesque squares, the venerable old town hall, the Etruscan Museum, the castle above; many stores, bars, trattorias invite you to linger and cultural events such as concerts and exhibitions of all kinds take place here almost all year round. Directly from the house you can hike and bike in the hills above; or treat yourself to a day of swimming at the nearby Lake Trasimeno (10 km) with its sandy beaches and picturesque islets. Within an hour's drive you can reach Arezzo (30 km) , Perugia (45 km) , Siena (80 km) and many of the small hill towns worth visiting such as Montepulciano (30 km) and Pienza (40 km).
