About this house rental

Lovely kid friendly Birdrock house awaits you for you vacation. 3 blocks to the ocean, and 1 mile to beach access in both directions. Relax on the large patio where you can enjoy peak view of the ocean, barbecue or take a 2 minutes stroll to the La Jolla Blvd for a variety of restaurants, bakery, and coffee shops. No need to drive anywhere. Everything is in walking distance Our house has 4 bedrooms with 2 queen size bed, one full size,and a bunkbed with a double/twin bed.There are 3 TVs, Internet access, Wii games, X-Box, DVD and a foosball table.
No parties are allowed as houses are very close together and this is a family neighborhood.

Play games on the grass in the front yard which is completely fenced in, which is great for Kids and Pets, or use the large deck to catch some sun. Borrow our bikes and cruise down the bike path or to the beach. Boogie boards, beach chairs and towels are provides for your convenience.

Why the Owner Chose Bird Rock: My husband and I moved here 20 years ago from Sweden and England. We have lived in different locations in USA, but we found that La Jolla is one of the most beautiful places in California, and one of the best places to live.

The Unique Benefits at this House: You will find a friendly, and easygoing neighborhood where people love the outdoors. We live in a granny house on the same property but do not share any walls or out door space. We are always available if needed.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful La Jolla home! The location is absolutely unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach and close to great coffee shops, grocery stores, and scenic coastal trails. The house itself was clean, spacious, and full of character, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved the outdoor space for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish coastal escape!

Stayed at this property with my family, including my grandmother. It’s a wonderful location with great views of the ocean just steps away. Great area for walking/biking with easy access to coffee shops, etc. The home owner/host is very responsive and the property is lovely. We hosted a quaint dinner gathering with some local family members and it worked out perfectly. There’s everything you need in the home for a small dinner party. Absolutely worth it! We would stay here again and hope to someday.

Annelie’s Bird Rock house was absolutely perfect. The house was clean, large, had all of the personal amenities would could need even a pack and play and high chair for the children. The fully fenced front yard was perfect for small children to play in and the multiple seating areas on the back deck were perfect for afternoon lounging and enjoying family meals. The house is also in easy walking distance to all that Bird Rock has to offer.

Wonderful in every way. This house is well-kept and interesting. Sometimes “interesting” is a nice way of saying “weird,” but not here! Lovingly kept, not sterile or boring. Spectacular patio out back for relaxing. Location perfectly situated between La Jolla and PB. Hosts were great!

The house welcomed us and made us immediately feel like local residents. So many things were walkable - coffee shops, restaurants, wine store, ocean views. And when we did venture out whether to the Wildlife Safari or San Diego sites, it was a great starting off point. The kitchen was very well stocked and there is a great grill on the patio. It's a house that feels like a home thanks to terrific hosts.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Bird Rock. This was our second time at this property and we have found it works great for family gatherings. We like that there are four separate bedrooms and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking/serving group meals. We ate most of our meals outside on the back patio which is quite large and has lots of seating. We would definitely return to this location!

So much more than a hotel stay. We stayed a week for a family wedding. Easy drive to downtown San Diego, Pacific Beach and La Jolla Cove. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and an amazing fruit tower and bottle of wine. Just blocks from the ocean and Beautiful sunsets. Great walking neighborhood. On a sunny day the deck was a great place to eat and drink. The listing says the owners live below the deck but we would never know. We messaged when we arrived and they responded quickly to see if we needed anything. We would stay again if we are in the area

Our nieces from Montana and us from the East Bay Area met up at this homie home. Wow! The hosts are just wonderful. When we arrived we were welcomed with a beautiful fruit basket, delicious chocolate from Sweden and a very nice bottle of wine. The house has everything! La Jolla is a Jewel, nice neighborhood and so close to the tourist areas,San Diego Zoo, Sea world, the aquarium, the beach boardwalk, Legoland. We truly enjoyed the beautiful beaches within a mile radius. The owners take pride of their beautiful home, from the nice soft bath towels, comfortable beds, living room furniture. We also loved the terrace deck, what a treat to have your morning coffee and just total relaxation. The BBQ was just perfect, loved cooking meals, not too many places have nice pots and pans. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us. We didn't want to leave.

Perfect location for our family trip - near enough to UCSD for our daughter's graduation, but close enough to the beach, bike trail, and adorable Bird Rock downtown for a very relaxing mini-break. House was perfect - everything we could have wanted was available - beautiful back patio with BBQ, spacious open kitchen and living room for our time together, luxurious bedroom spaces, and front garden surrounded by blooms. What a fantastic home! I can’t say enough about how great this place is. A well kept, exceptionally clean and TOTALLY stocked spot to call home for your stay. The flowers were beautiful, the lawn manicured, fresh fruit in a bowl, they even left us some beer and a bottle of wine. The neighborhood is great, and on street parking was easy enough to find. I can’t think of anything I’d change. My Dad couldn’t work the TV very well, but that’s probably user error! Roof top deck was amazing, just a great spot in the LaJolla area.

Great house and location in Bird Rock. Right around the corner from restaurants and nice walking neighborhoods with plenty of costal views. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Beds very comfortable. We will definitely stay again when we come back to San Diego.
