Indulge yourself in this beautifully decorated and renovated condo, Pelican L03. It is the prime spot for your vacation only a few steps from all the fun. The Lanai level location is the best you can get at the resort. Having a split level patio allows you to use the Tiki bar, loungers, and table/chair set right out of the sliding door. On the lower level you will enjoy a gas grill and bar area to make a meal and have drinks ready just steps away from the fun. Adults and kids will enjoy the accessibility that this condo has to allow for a great vacation. You can watch your kids pass on the lazy river right from your own lanai level unit. You can’t get anything better than that!
This condo boosts beautiful beach décor that you will love. It feels like a vacation when you walk through the door. All floors of the condo are ceramic/porcelain, which is great being so close to all the water fun. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make a gourmet meal. You can eat by the bar or on the beautiful table set. The living room has a large 60 in flat screen television to enjoy while seated on either a sofa or love seat, both of which turn into a queen sofa bed and a twin bed love seat. The master bedroom is spectacular with a king size bed and views of the lazy river and pools. The master bath is very spacious with a jetted tub and separate shower. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and located right next to the hall bathroom. This bedroom is very unique since it has a twin bunk bed over the queen, so if you need extra sleeping accommodations or just like to have a child close to you this is a great bedroom. The 3rd bedroom has a pirate theme and will be your kiddos favorite place to rest after a long day in the water. The bunk beds, full on bottom and twin on top, are great for kids to teens to have their own special place. All the bedrooms have flat screen tv’s and dvd players for your enjoyment!
The 700 foot long, 10 foot wide, and 4 foot deep lazy river with a man made current passes by right in front of your lanai level condo. You can watch the kiddos enjoying themselves as they pass. This Bayside Resort also has a Waterfall pool, Zero entry pool, and 2 large community hot tubs to have more fun. The beach side of the resort has one of the largest pools on the island and also a partially shaded pool that you can use. For the little kiddos the sprinkle play area is always a hit. The beach and emerald waters are also one of the many things to do at the Destin West Resort.. The sky bridge connecting the bayside and gulf side areas of the resort is a great for easy transitions from lazy river area to beach fun.

The property was tired. The shared bath needs to be repainted it had terrible touch up paint that didn’t match. The entire condo needs a good cleaning top to bottom. There were cob webs in the corner of the master and accumulated dust on the wall hangings. The master bed was extremely comfortable but the two bunk room mattresses were horrible. My adult children woke up with back aches each morning. The sofa bed was not any better

The location of the condo was amazing! It was plenty big enough for our family and lots of closet space and dressers to unpack. Right off the lazy river, easy access to the pools, large lanai for hanging out and even a covered area we could sit under during the Florida pop up rains. Plus a easy walk next door to Ricks, which has some great food and they also have boat rentals.
There are few things that need some attention. First the floors need a deep clean or even steam clean. My kids feet were black after walking around inside the condo barefoot. This was immediately upon arrival, so I feel like the floor was not moped at all. The shower curtain in the hall bathroom had a large area of mold on it. The stools at the kitchen counter are peeling excessively and stuck to your skin when you sat on them and one stool was very wobbly.
It would also be helpful to maybe have a map of the property to show you where everything is located.
Overall we enjoyed it a great deal.
