The house also features two spacious living areas with well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area opening onto the outdoor living area. A heat pump, under floor heating and wood fire will keep you warm in winter.

We booked The Art House, to celebrate a return to Wanaka after not having visited for a number of years and we were not disappointed. The communication with the host, Peter, was great and he went above and beyond to make our check in process easy and comfortable, even lighting the fire for us when we advised him we would be arriving late.The house itself was warm, comfortable, and very well equipped. Admittedly I thought the property would be a bit closer to town than it actually was, but that's my fault for not looking at the map properly. It's still walkable, but it's a long-ish walk. All in all we have no major complaints. The only minor niggle was that the downstairs heatpump was quite noisy no matter what setting it was on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Peter’s home is the perfect location for your stay in Wānaka as everything you’ll want to see and do is an easy walk or quick drive. The beds are soooo comfortable, the kitchen was very efficient and well equipped, washer and dryer are a nice plus as is the parking carport, and there is a ton of room inside and out. One of our most favorite stays!

Group of friends used for 6 nights as a base while skiing. Everything was as advertised and ticked all boxes for us.
