Welcome to Paradise!
Villa Kristina Maria is located a cool comfortable 130 meters above the beautiful Pacific Coastline with Panoramic Ocean views from every room. The home is located in the perfect spot where the constant gentle ocean breeze keeps it cool and nestled in the Rain forest jungle of a private gated community on a 4+ acre unique parcel. The surrounding jungle promises an abundance of tropical sights and sounds that will delight you by day and night.... You will experience the Best of Nature!
Our Guests can enjoy our beautiful local beach with our membership at the Beach Club while you are staying at our House. The Beach Club has a Restaurant & Bar, Free Internet, Swimming pool, Restrooms, Showers, Free parking, and a Private access to the white sandy beach.
Our tropical Community is surrounded by an additional 100+ acres of a protected wildlife reserve so it is located in the perfect wildlife corridor with many animals visiting daily. The Panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Isla Ballena, Cano Island, Tres Hermanas (Three Sisters rocks), Osa Peninsula, and the surrounding Rain forest will take your breath away!
Have your camera ready! Enjoy everyday visits of the Howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, white-nosed coatimundi, agoutis, iguanas, toucans, parrots, many other exotic birds, beautiful butterflies including the spectacular blue morpho, dragonflies, frogs, and other jungle wildlife.
Villa Kristina Maria has 4 spacious bedrooms each with its own sliding glass door which opens onto its own exterior deck. Both of the 2 Master bedroom suites have Air Conditioning. There is one upstairs Master bedroom suite and one downstairs Master bedroom suite.
Relax under the cool covered deck in rocking chairs, hammock, or lounge chairs. Go for a swim in the sparkling tiled swimming pool. Listen to the sounds of the natural rock waterfall surrounded by lush tropical plants and flowers. Enjoy an ice cold drink made from the delicious fruits of the area while sitting under the palapya covered deck at the fully equipped wet bar with refrigerator, sink and bar stools. This is the rhythm of your daily life at Villa Kristina Maria...You may never want to leave!
The home is tropically furnished including beautiful artwork by local Costa Rican artisans. Each of the four bedrooms has a queen sized bed, pillow top mattress, mirrored armoire wardrobe, and its own covered deck, plus views of the Ocean, Islands and Jungle. Every room in the house is vented with woodwork and screens done by local artisans to enhance the constant gentle flow of cool ocean breezes throughout the house.
The spacious FULLY EQUIPPED GOURMET KITCHEN has all that is necessary to cater to large families. It has a Breakfast Bar with granite countertops and specially hand crafted modern wooden cabinetry throughout. The fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, tropical designed dishes, toaster, electric coffee maker, blender, pots and pans, cooking utensils and beautiful custom granite counters is the social center of the home. For an extra special treat, create your own gourmet dinner and serve it in the dining room or outdoor deck table while enjoying the sunset views over the ocean. Sit in the living room, open the sliding glass doors, and create a spacious indoor/outdoor living area with panoramic views of the ocean, surrounding jungle covered mountains, pool, and Costa Rica wildlife.
Villa Kristina Maria is conveniently located for amenities; The small town of Uvita is only 10 minutes away where you find Banks, a selection of several well-stocked Supermarkets and also a variety of Restaurants serving local and international cuisine. Dominical is north of our house about 15 minutes drive that also has a variety of restaurants, stores and a few bars for nightlife. And Ojochal is south about 15 minutes drive and has a good choice of local and gourmet restaurants.
So many beautiful scenes will delight you as you sit on the upstairs balcony and watch in awe as the sunrise and sunset transform the sky! Watch from the balcony for the many varieties of wildlife in the area.
Hike to beautiful waterfalls, streams and cascades in our private gated reserve. Easy access by car to stores, and restaurants, and just minutes to beautiful tropical beaches where the jungle meets the shore, and the ocean temperatures range from 78 - 85 degrees year around!
In addition to suggestions about the best local restaurants, we are happy to assist our guests with contact information for making reservations for nearby activities and excursions. There are so many thrilling and educational Adventures in the area.... Something to please everyone.

This is a fabulous place to stay, particularly for the price. The property was as described, tucked in a private jungle area with a lovely pool and lots of opportunities to see many examples of the amazing, local wildlife up close! The Villa is very spacious, allowing our family of 8, including a 2 YO, to spread out and enjoy the beautiful views. The location is great for easily accessing great beaches, a multitude of excellent restaurants, and the many activities we enjoyed, including scuba diving at Caño Island, Corcovado, Manuel Antonio, a trip to Nauyaca Waterfalls, deep sea fishing, a mangrove tour, and canyoning. Communication with Claire leading up to our stay was thorough and very helpful, making it easy to get to and into the property and plan for the trip. There were a few, minor upkeep items - a screen door lying on the outside deck, sliding screen doors not all closing tightly, for example, and there were also a few issues at the first of our stay - WiFi/Internet didn’t work, electricity went out for several hours and wasn’t sufficient to run appliances and A/C as needed, and having the info up-front on how to resolve the electricity outage would have been better. However, Claire and Bud responded quickly and effectively to resolve those, even coming in-person more than once and regularly checking in to make sure things were working. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and memorable trip!

Beautiful view and incredible wildlife! We were lucky to get to meet our host , Bud and Claire . They are fantastic people and helpful and responsive when little things needed attention. We stayed for 35 days , My husband and myself , We also had family visit for a week . The house was big enough for everyone to enjoy , the location was in one of the nicest areas with complete privacy , but also a quick ride down to restaurants and excursions. We cooked dinner most nights in the well equipped kitchen , We bought fish every night and made healthy and delicious meals. Mornings were spent in the pool with monkeys and toucans and butterfly’s , The amount of wildlife that we were able to see was incredible, We enjoyed everything about this rental . The house had two air conditioner, one in the master downstairs and the other master upstairs, They also provided us with a portable air conditioner if we needed . The house is far enough up to not need it at all . Freddy was a sweet guy who kept the pool cleaned , katte was the housekeeper who came one day before the kids arrived and did a great job cleaning and refreshing the flowers all around the house . So many things to do in the area , We went zip lining with the OSa canopy tour ( not for the faint at heart ) We went fishing and caught fish and they cleaned it up for us , We came home abd had fresh fish sandwiches. We also went horseback riding which was so much fun . Just rent this home , Claire and Bud are incredible people .

Neat spot in the jungle, although it was different than expected based on the VRBO listing.We did see some great thunder/lightening storms, my kiddo was able to pick wild bananas and see neat wildlife and we appreciated having the pool and outdoor seating area.Travels should be aware that the VRBO listing states 15 min walk to beach/national park and 3 min drive to beach. The house is East of highway in the mountains (not near beach/contrary to VRBO map, which shows it near La Cucinga)AC in two bedrooms ineffective. Windows cannot be closed (which is good for natural air flow, but not good for AC). One of the rooms has a mobile unit without external venting, rendering it useless. When we arrived, there were no extra trash bags/cleaning supplies (dishwashing detergent).Kitchen wasn't "fully equipped/gourmet": no basic items like salt/oil to cook; well loved pots/pans/utensils. We were expecting more given the listing.
