About this cottage rental
Welcome to this charming cottage in Seney. This beautiful property features 2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds and 2 twin bed, perfect for a small group of guests. This cottage is a tri-level cottage. The cottage has a vintage look with vintage kitchen cupboards, Marble top stands and dressers. The kitchen, living room & bathroom are on the main level and there is one bedroom upstairs and 1 downstairs. Please note the bedrooms are private, but there is no doors to lock. Please see the pictures to show you how it is laid out. The bathroom is equipped with a Tub/Shower combo. With amenities like WiFi, AC, and a gas fireplace, you'll have everything you need for a fantastic stay. Our kitchen is equipped with a microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots & pans, stove & oven, plenty of cups & dishes, silverware and for both long or short stays.
There is no cable TV available in our town. We have provided a flat screen that has Roku which gives you access to Free Amazon Prime and you can also add your own Netflex account number or other types of subscriptions.
We supply a starter amount of toilet paper and paper towels. If you feel you will need more, please come prepared.
The cottage is completely cleaned and All bedding is washed between guests. The cottage is in the woods and we have a totally private screened in porch to relax in and enjoy nature.
Activities are abundant! Within walking distance is the Fox River which is a famous for it's trout fishing. Seney Wildlife Refuge is 7 miles to the south. Bike or Drive the 7 mile drive through the refuge or canoe or kayak the river. Bike, canoe, kayak & ORV rentals are available. Our forest offers many beautiful back roads for the ORV fans.
We are 25 miles from Lake Superior and the beautiful town of Grand Marais. Visit the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, The Log Slides & Sable Falls. Munising is 35 miles away and offers beautiful falls, as well as Boat rides to view the Pictured Rocks and Different shipwrecks. The beautiful Tahaquamenon Falls is 50 miles away, but make sure you stop to visit the Oswald Bear Ranch on your way, and see his black bears. You may be able to hold a cub! Mackinac Island, and the the Big Mac Bridge that joins the Upper & Lower Peninsula, is 1 1/2 hours away.
Winter is also a beautiful time of the year. Seney is a central hub for many snowmobile trails. Trails go to Germfask, & Curtis to the south and Newberry, Paradise, and Tahquamenon Falls to the east. Trails to the north link us to Grand Marais and on the west is Wetmore and Munising. We have one of the best groomer Crews in Michigan and they are dedicated to having the trails in tip top shape.

The cottage was exactly as described and the perfect location for our trips to Munising, Grand Marais, and Tahquamenon Falls! The hosts made communication and renting very easy!The cottage was very clean and equipped with all we needed for a comfortable stay. We were able to cook meals when we didn't want to eat out. The area was quiet. We would definitely rent from them again!

The house was very clean and cozyCentrally located for excursions to pictured rocks and beaches. We visited the wildlife reserve didn’t see much wild life but it’s a beautiful location. We also took a canoe trip down the manistique river where I fell in the river. Very challenging river to navigate.The only thing missing is a washer and dryer.We had a great time and would visit again.
