The house is located very close to all the action. There is a large hill that’s required to walk which was fine for us but likely not suited for some. The taxi at the Crown Suites is more than willing to take you but seemed difficult to do every time you make that trek.
The house is large enough for many guests which is hard to find in Hermann.
It is very dated. I understand that’s the point but small changes would elevate the comfort of the house without taking away from the history. Beds are not great, bedding is old and not comfortable. Upgrades on the beds and bedding would change the game in this house. The furniture in the living room is dated and not very comfortable. No TV in the bedrooms. The house smells old.
The house serves its purpose but is mediocre at best.
