The Bloom House

House good location for activities in town. Outdoor seating to enjoy nice days. Plenty of room for our girls trip.

Super easy check-in, the property was as described, fully stocked with everything we needed and easy access via car to downtown. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the sulfur smell with the water. It kind of smells like a dry trap, but seemed to be influenced by the torrential rain we got the first night. It was not bad the next day. We appreciated that the host mentioned it in the check in book that was onsite though - it kept us from worrying and feeling the need to contact them. The mattresses were not the comfiest, however they served their purpose. The lawn was slightly overgrown and there is a for sale sign in the yard. This was not a huge deal, but I feel is worth mentioning as we were hopeful there would not be any showings while we were there lol. I highly suggest utilizing the trolley service - they were very laid back and picked us up from the house and returned us after a long day of wine tasting. Zydeco has amazing food options for those with dietary restrictions and we loved espresso laine for coffee. Parking was not an issue, but is definitely limited if your party is larger and someone is staying in the attached suite. Check out was super easy and stress free! Overall, our stay was exactly what we needed it to be and we had a fantastic time!

Property worked out very well for our group of 7 women. There was a problem with the air-conditioning, but the owner responded immediately and the problem was fixed. We had a wonderful time!

Recently stayed at the Bloom House for the weekend with some friends. Short walk to downtown! Check-in was easy, and not a lot you have to do for check-out. Parking was right behind the house and had several spaces. The back patio was nice! Plenty of towels and toilet paper were supplied for our group. Just a couple of downfalls: the people staying in the Bloom Suite came home at 3 am and were really loud. It is attached to the back of the house, which I didn't know about till we checked in. The living room & kitchen furniture were also not in great shape. Lots of tears & stains. The shower curtain in the downstairs bathroom was gross. The soap supplied in the bathrooms seemed old. There were no dishcloths, and the sponge there was very gross, making it hard to wash dishes that couldn't go in the dishwasher. It was a big house in a great location, but I don't think it was worth what we paid for 2 nights. Needs some updating.
