About this villa rental
Make a romantic Tuscan getaway at Podere Maiano. Its interiors feel traditional and intimate, and amenities like a spa area, jetted tub and billiards room are wonderful. If you'll be able to leave this renovated farmhouse and its superb comforts, the surrounding Val d’Orcia landscape is worth exploring, and the cities as Siena, Montalcino, San Quirico and Montepulciano are a short drive away.
Take a stroll around the grounds, see what’s growing in the kitchen garden, prepare the produce on the outdoor grill and enjoy meals or a glass of wine at the al-fresco dining area. In the evening, challenge friends and family to a game of billiards, ping-pong or bocce court, or relax with television or Wi-Fi access.
The villa’s living spaces combine rustic architecture and formal furnishings.
There are eight bedrooms in the main house and one bedroom in the pool house; all nine have en-suite bathrooms and either air conditioning.
Podere Maiano is about 2 miles outside the town of Buonconvento, where you’ll find restaurants, a grocery store, a church and train station.
Play a match at the tennis court, 2 km away, or a round at the Borgo la Bagnaia golf course, 30 km away. Take a day trip to Siena, about 28 km away, or make the longer drive to Florence, about 90 km away.
It’s 130 km to Pisa, and Rome is 220 km away.

Our family and friends (group of 13) could not have been happier with our stay. Everything about the property exceeded our expectations. So clean, easy communication, great location for Florence and Pisa day trips and numerous amazing wineries. Evening meals at villa were amazing and incredibly fun. Highly recommend.

We took our family to Italy to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The villa was perfect for a large family, with all bedrooms having private bathrooms. Pietro and his team were phenomenal and helped me with planning and recommendations. I would highly recommend this property.

Home was stunning, expansive, stuff for everyone, great location. We had a beautiful wedding for Leslie's daughter and wife. Pietro and his staff helped greatly with this. The home cooked dinner was amazing. This brought our blended family together! Then we all took day trips, sometimes together, sometimes in small groups. every turn was a scenic beauty.

I brought my extended family of 18 people to Tuscany and we had an incredible stay. Communication w/ Pietro was great as was everything about the villa.
Location close to Buenconvento was great w/ grocery store, cafes, and restaurants just 5 mins away. Members of our group made easy day trips to Pienza, Montalcino, Sienna, and Florence.
The property and villa are somehow even better than the pictures. Our group enjoyed the morning sunrise over the valley, walks around the vineyard, a lot of time spent in the pool, and the outdoor seating and dining areas. The en suite bathrooms in every room were nice with a group of our size.
Last but not least, Pietro helped coordinate 3 dinners at the villa: a cooking class w/ 2 local Italian women, a pizza chef to fire up the pizza oven, and a prepared dinner w/ the same ladies from the cooking class. These 3 evenings were easily the highlight for our group. The meals were delicious and the chefs all charming and knowledgeable.
We can't wait to come back.
