About this house rental
Bassett's Cabin is a bi-level, 1850 sq. ft. Ft home in historical Wawona inside Yosemite National Park. 5 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms sleep up to 6 guests comfortably. Downstairs in the first bedroom is a queen-size bed. Next to that bedroom is a full bathroom. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms, two with two twin beds and two rooms with two full-size beds. There is another full bathroom on this level.
The living room hosts a wood-burning fireplace, and wood is provided during burn season. Enjoy a BBQ on the Weber propane grill or relax on the deck and enjoy the sounds of the Merced River, just a short walk away. Cool off in the river on hot summer days, one of the best swimming holes is close by. Included amenities are a washer and dryer, dishwasher, satellite TV, DVD player, ping-pong table, and most importantly, WIFI! Pets are welcome for an additional $50.00 a night.

We LOVED this cozy but spacious cabin inside the park in Wawona. It is the perfect combination of great amenities with a rustic mountain feel. The house has 5 bedrooms, PLENTY of space for our family of 5. The large open living area offered lots of cozy hang out space, and the ping pong table in the garage was a HUGE hit with our 3 kids - they spent every free moment out there. There is a large, fantastic deck. We visited early in the season (late April) so I don't know what it's like during peak season, but during out stay it was nice to be a little bit away from Yosemite Valley and the crowds. The area is very peaceful, steps to the little store with basic supplies and souvenirs and a nice outdoor seating area. One of our favorite sites in the park turned out to be a short walk from the house - Chilnualna Falls is short walk from the house and was the most amazing waterfall we saw the whole trip. There is a long, more challenging walk to the upper fall, but viewing the lower falls is a very manageable short walk, and was great for our 8 year old.

The property was clean and had everything we were looking for. We could explore Yosemite at our leisure and the river was a less than 5 minute walk away. It was awesome!

Great location! The only downside was it took about 8 hours to heat the place up, arrived after 6 pm and shivered for most of first night.
