About this house rental
Casa Melograno is a carefully restored rustic stone house.
To get to the house there is a narrow uphill road of about 200 meters, very beautiful and panoramic, not suitable for low-profile cars, where the first 5 meters are for expert drivers.
The exclusive swimming pool has a terrace and wooden pergola, deck chairs and umbrellas.
In the garden area adjacent to the kitchen there is a nice stone barbecue complete with table and chairs ...
Complete a Tuscan decor with stone walls, chestnut beams and terracotta floors.

Charming, captivating, relaxing, speechless. It’s hard to pick the right adjective to describe this cottage chalet getaway. It’s a quiet escape from the craziness of Tuscany but the ride is worth the reward. Nestled into the mountain op in an olive grove, you have everything you need, including your own pool and sunsets over the alpines across the valley. Even the uphill climb from the road is an adventure! Don’t forget to honk!

We had a lovely time. The house has everything you need. The location is quiet and peaceful. The vegetation that surrounds it is lovely. The pool is great we enjoyed being able to relax by the pool. Luca and Lisa were very good at providing updates and being quick to reply to our queries. Thank you

The property is a lovely old stone cottage and really is tucked away, very private & with lots of outside space. It has a well equipped kitchen & a welcome coffee machine, which you can buy additional pods for when visiting Lucca. The pool and parking areas are accessed via a number of steps so would recommend this to people who do not have mobility issues.
The driveway is fine, you just have to take your time the first couple of meters where the driveway meets the roadway. Our driveway at home is much worse!!
Communication with the owner was very good & he provided helpful directions to find the property & there was a bottle of wine awaiting us.
Tip - take some provisions with you for your first meal/ few hours as it is a trek to the little supermarket in Bagni di Lucca.
The pizzeria in Benabbio is well worth a visit, open for good from 7pm. The interior has been decorated since the photos you will find online & it’s really pleasant. Huge range of pizzas, primi & secondi dishes. Excellent quality & so reasonably priced. The house wine is a Sangiovese & is really good.
I would recommend this property & the area.

We had a very pleasant stay. The house is quite remote and Luca and Lisa are wonderful hosts. The driveway is indeed very steep and won’t be manageable with a lowered car.
The garden is fenced which was perfect as we travelled with our dog.
The pool is very secluded and the surroundings so calm that we could relax perfectly.
