Hale Kai was recommended to by a friend and we loved it. It is wonderfully quiet, lacking all the tourists at the big resorts, and perfect. First day we watched whales off our lanai. Each morning we walked a 1/2 block off for coffee and pastaries then crossed the street to the park to enjoy our meal. It feels like I'm telling everyone about my secret fishing spot. Mahalo!

The unit was clean and well equipped. The view cannot be beat, especially watching the whales in the distance (they come to Maui Dec-Mar). With the full kitchen we were able to eat in a lot. The bed was comfy and the shower worked well. There's no AC but a good fan and open windows was mostly enough. Valerie in the front office is friendly and responsive. The grounds and pool are well kept. Instructions were clear and helpful. I would definitely stay again!
