About this cabin rental
Nestled atop a hill on 60 pastoral acres in Wildwood, Georgia, this charmingly rustic one room cabin makes for an ideal family basecamp for local adventures or a romantic couples getaway. The cabin is newly constructed from 150 year old barn timbers and surrounded by shady forests and open pastures. The rest of the world may feel far away, yet Tadpole is only minutes from downtown Chattanooga, Cloudland Canyon State Park and most other area attractions. The perfect escape from everyday life.
The Space
Creek Road Farm is a 60-acre farm that’s been family-owned for almost 50 years. Aside from the cabin, there is main residence on top of the hill, a barn, work shed, garden and greenhouse. The central barn is flanked by two pastures with two more pastures on the back side of the hill bordered by Lookout Creek. Lookout Mountain looms above from the east.
Guest access
Guests are free to roam the property at their leisure. Walk down to Lookout Creek and drop a line in the water for bass and bream. Hike around the property along old farm roads and logging trails. Stop at the barn and feed the chickens. Or visit with the farm animals: Tater, the pig; Lily and Muffin, the goats; Buddy, the farm dog; and Mango, the shy, orange tabby cat.
The owners live on the property, with Tadpole Cabin itself located in its own secluded nook, out of view of the owner's residence.
Lastly, pets are more than welcome at Tadpole for a one-time $50 fee that covers all your pets for the duration of your stay.

We had such an incredible stay and will definitely be back. We loved the views and walking around the farm seeing all the animals and the garden. And we loved making a fire every night. The cabin has so many thoughtful extra touches and has everything you need!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Tadpole Cabin. From the beautiful farmland to the rustic cabin, everything was picturesque. It was easy to find the cabin. It is located on a small hill overlooking the farmland. We enjoyed sitting by the fire and on the porch drinking freshly ground coffee & listening to birds. They supply a bunch of seasoned firewood as well as fire starters which was very nice. The cabin was the perfect size for my mom and I. Everything was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The little space heater came in handy when it was cold the first night. The shower was AMAZING! I didn’t want to get out, especially after hiking 5 miles at Lula Lake! Everything was absolutely perfectly decorated. Simple. Rustic. Everything had its place. The refurbished vanity used as the bathroom sink was adorable. We explored the property & walked down to the creek where they have a nice picnic table. We also went by the barn & purchased a dozen fresh eggs that were absolutely delicious. We said hi to the chickens & fed the two goats, Lily & Muffin, as well as Tater, the pig. Bring quarters so you can buy goat food from the vending machine. We met Patrick, our host, & he was very nice. We did not cook anything, so I cannot comment on the kitchen. However it seemed clean and well stocked. We used the coffee maker and were supplied with roasted coffee beans & a grinder to make delicious coffee. Also the best Land of Lakes half & half creamer. We can’t wait to come back another time
