About this house rental
The property is split across two levels and thoughtfully designed to make the most of the surrounding sea and mountain views. The interior is decorated in a warm, traditional style, with cozy furnishings, original artwork, and a welcoming atmosphere.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious living area and one comfortable bedroom with a bathroom. Upstairs, there is another bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a cozy loft area with two single beds suitable for children.
Additionally, there is a separate, fully equipped ground-floor apartment featuring an extra bedroom with direct access to the pool and barbecue area — ideal for families or friends seeking a bit of privacy.
Outdoors, guests can enjoy a large private pool with sun loungers and umbrellas, a shaded pergola, and a dining area perfect for al fresco meals or evening drinks. The garden and terrace areas offer a tranquil setting to relax, dine, and take in the surrounding mountain and sea views.
Please note that the swimming pool is not heated, so the water temperature depends on weather conditions. Guests have full private access to all areas of the house, both indoors and outdoors.
Drimiskos is a traditional hillside village in southern Rethymno, located about 35 km from the city. Within walking distance, you’ll find a small local taverna (kafeneio), while the larger village of Spili, just 10 km away, offers supermarkets, shops, and more dining options.
South of Drimiskos stretches a beautiful coastline known as Drymiskiani Gialia, featuring a series of small coves and beaches separated by rocks and reefs — perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkelling. The best-known section, Amoudi Beach, is just a short drive away and offers easy access and pristine waters.
Drimiskos Cottage is ideal for families and groups seeking a peaceful retreat close to Crete’s stunning southern beaches and authentic village life.
The house offers an outdoor parking space, where you can safely park your car. For exploring Crete’s beautiful landscapes and beaches, a car is highly recommended.
