Casa Santana is relatively recently renovated traditional stone house with beautiful views out over the sea and the island of Sao Jorge and easy access to some lovely walks including one along the coast. We really enjoyed sitting on the covered terrace listening to and watching the birds, lizards and bats and watching sunsets. The acommadation is good with a pleasant lounge, and a basic but satisfactory kitchen. The downstairs bedroom is a bit dark unless you open the door, and would benefit from a more comfortable mattress. Otherwise we loved it. The house is close to the main road between Madalena and Sao Roque, but a car is advisable as it is a long walk to the nearest shops and buses are infrequent

The house is very nice, well equipped and has a stunning view towards Sao Jorge island. Unfortunately no warm water in the shower and no internet connection just a weak Wifi.
