We had a great time staying at Roland's place for three nights. It's a nice simple setup, clean, small kitchen, two nice bedrooms. Just what we needed for a brief stay while we hit up a nearby music festival. Telegraph Avenue is a short walk away and downtown Oakland a slightly longer walk. All sorts of great food and restaurants close by. Stop by Jebena Cafe in the morning for a great coffee and a Sambosa, or Dan Sung Sa for good Korean and a fun atmosphere. For being near the freeway and a busyish street it was pretty quiet as well. Also a 20-25 minute ride from Oakland Airport. I would happily stay there again if in the area.

Host was very accommodating and it's a great place to stay at for a few nights. Neighborhood is a little sketch but located in front of family owned businesses who were helpful.

This property is very impressive. It was clean and in order. The bathroom is spacious and beautifully remodeled. The manager was completely accommodating. It is indeed a 5 star property. However, the neighborhood, which looks like it is in the throws of regentrification, is unpleasant in its appearance. Over a short amount of time this will change for the better. In the end don't let the look of the neighborhood discourage your stay here. It's location is a prime place to stay while in Oakland. It is close to everything! If you do decide to stay here be mindful of the parking! Street sweeping happens often surrounding this property (read the signs). Also there is a mechanic who parks the cars he is working on in the cul-de-sac near the property. Parking is scarce. I was lucky to have found the same parking spot near the corner of the property my entire stay. Still, overall I recommend this property. Cheers!
