About this apartment rental
Come and stay in our fantastic apartment on the cliff top in beautiful Barton-on-Sea. Our apartment is named 'Stones Throw' as it is just a stones' throw from stunning Barton Beach which overlooks the Isle of Wight to the east and Hengistbury Head and Christchurch Bay to the west.
What's more it's on the doorstep of the New Forest National Park so you can enjoy both coast and countryside during your stay without having to travel very far at all.
Within a half hour drive you can visit picturesque Lymington with its maritime history, Hurst Spit and Castle, historic Christchurch and numerous beautiful destinations in the Forest with its freely roaming ponies, donkeys, cows and pigs and abundant wildlife and well as a great selection of stunning beaches.
You could even venture across the Solent on a day trip to the Isle of Wight from nearby Lymington.
If you want to stay put you can enjoy a delicious lunch at the Beachcomber Cafe just over the road or the Pebble Beach restaurant where th head chef is was a finalist in TVs Masterchef - The Professionals. Alternatively you can spend some time swimming or just relaxing on Barton Beach.
Our apartment is ground floor making it very accessible, and has double doors leading onto a patio and guests have use of the communal garden which looks out to sea. The main living area has a modern open plan kitchen, a dining table with four chairs, sofa bed and arm chair, plus TV with google TV.
You can see the famous Needles off the Isle of Wight from the lounge window. The bedroom is a good size with a double bed and wardrobe and there's a bright and fresh modern bathroom with a double sized shower.
There is a communal car park at the front of the building with enough space for every apartment to park a car and you can also park on most nearby side roads for free.
We do accept well behaved pets so if you want to bring them there is a £22 per pet fee (max of 2 - please make sure to tick the check box when you book to say you are bringing a pet and let us know how many)

A very clean & modern apartment, but spoiled by being bang next to the road. Lots of road & pavement noise. Really need some Venetian blinds especially in bedroom as you are on the ground floor looking out onto the communal garden & properties next door. Could really do with a fan for when the weather is HOT, & def a small freezer to be able to freeze ice packs if you want to pack food & go out for the day, or even just to the lovely cliff top walks & beaches, which are literally a few minutes walk away. A lovely efficient shower but in need of somewhere to store your shower gel, shampoo or washcloth rather than on the floor!Ladies would appreciate a hairdryer in the property.I very much appreciated the owner Ian contacting me directly after I had called VRBO to ask if it was possible to access the property early due to having had rather a long very hot journey down & my husband wasn’t feeling very well. This is a lovely location with a couple of cafes & restaurants on your doorstep, but think a few tweaks could really improve your stay.

Very clean, tidy apartment, ideally located for the beach and shops/ restaurants, quiet at night. Main bed very comfy. Great facilities.
We stayed with outdoor temps at +32 degrees and the apartment was cool and a nice sleeping temperature throughout our stay.
We travelled to various other her beaches all within 30mins and the hosts had left some great guides to the locale.
