About this house rental
Relax with family or friends at this pet friendly country cottage, sleeps 10, with mountain views. Sit on the deck overlooking Blue Ridge Mountain, enjoy the restaurant @ the Mountain Top Inn and Resort a short 6 minute walk, or ski Killington or Pico a short drive away. Nature walk, hike, mountain bike, or x-country ski out your back door on our 19 acres or on the Mountain Top trails, horseback ride at the Inn, swim or Kayak in the Chittenden Reservoir, downhill ski at Killington/Pico, or easily access the Green Mountain National Forest and Trails to the Long Trail. Bedrooms: There is one King Bedroom on the first floor, and the other 3 bedrooms have queen beds. Two bedrooms are on the first floor, and share one full bathroom, and the second two bedrooms are on the second floor and share the second floor full bathroom. If you have more than 8 guests (and more than 4 couples) please note that guests # 9 & 10 will either be sharing a full size sleep sofa in the sunroom, or there is the option of a twin inflatable air mattress in addition to the sleep sofa. Window air conditioners in each bedroom and the living room and sunroom assure comfort for sleeping on those rare hot Vermont nights. Fans in the main living areas assure good air circulation during warmer summer months. Both bathrooms are full bathrooms with showers and one has a tub. The living room comfortably sits 7 people. The sunroom draws you in with roof windows that allow you to look at the clouds floating by while it brings sun, or the stars at night, a gift during the winter time when everyone needs an extra dose of sunshine, or star gazing. The dining room table is large enough to sit an entire family or a house full, and outside seating during summer months can accommodate 15-20, or 5 on the deck. The kitchen is large with plenty of counter space to cook for a large family, and is fully equipped right down to a blender and a coffee grinder and coffee press for whole bean coffee. A fireplace in the living room allows for both warmth and a cozy feel for guests during cooler fall months and during the winter time. A bonfire pit is located outside for summer or winter enjoyment, and an extra large picnic table and many extra chairs and lawn furniture (seating up to 20+) allows for outside dining and gathering from spring-fall. The driveway easily accommodates 5 cars, but is able with a little coordination can handle 6-7 vehicles. A washer/dryer is off the sunroom for guest use.
Pet Friendly Note: For those bringing pets please note our $150 per stay pet fee to cover extra cleaning costs when pets visit, and help with annual maintenance costs repairing the soft pine floors from wear and tear.

Since we are fairly new to the VRBO market, the per night cost is competitively priced for the Mountain Top Inn area to accommodate parties of 6 at a reasonably competitive price point. Beyond 6 guests there is a $50 per person additional charge to price the property's use of all 4 bedrooms and associated costs at rates consistent with the Mountain Top Inn hotel rooms and house rental rates. If you have a large party of 8 or more, we will guarantee you a maximum price of $700 per night on weekdays and $750 on weekends (our max nightly rate for 8+ people, not inclusive of guest fees and taxes), and will refund any amount over calculated by VRBO's automatic per person pricing algorithm upon booking with us for parties of 8-10. If this pricing structure is beyond your budget, please feel free to inquire with us, and we may be able to make further adjustments for last minute bookings. We work on the honor system in terms of reporting accurately the number of guests and pets staying at the property, and hope you will honor our honor system approach to pricing this property in a way that attempts to also meet the budgets of slightly smaller vs. larger sized parties and families.

Six of us spent 4 nights here for our son’s wedding at Mountaintop Resort (a very short walk). The home is clean, comfortable and very cozy. The property has spectacular views and the peace and quiet are remarkable. Evan is very responsive, accommodating and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this listing!

We had a wedding at the Inn. Staying here was close and allowed our whole family a place to stay together. We had a great time. The fireplace was great, as Mother Nature wasn't cooperating,We would definatly return here with friends.
