The Space:

You reach the apartment by a flight of 17 steps up to a private screened porch and the front door. There is no elevator.



Living and dining area: One open room with high ceilings and large windows. It has a cream sofa that pulls out to a queen bed with a 5 inch memory foam mattress, a round wood coffee table, a 55 inch wall TV, board games and a chess set. A round dining table with rattan chairs, seating four, is at the other end of the room.



Kitchen: Stainless steel full size fridge with freezer, electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, hot water kettle, toaster and blender. Pots and pans, plates, bowls, glasses, wine glasses and silverware are provided. The bar seats three. The stacked washer and dryer is located between the kitchen and bathroom.



Bedroom: A king bed with a 14 inch Novaform memory foam mattress, medium firmness, and white linens. We provide two firm and two soft pillows, plus extra pillows and blankets. There is a 55 inch wall TV, a dresser and a closet.



Bathroom: One full bathroom with a walk-in glass shower and a large vanity with storage. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel and a hair dryer are provided.



Also included: central air and heat, portable fans, room darkening shades, an iron, hangers, high speed WiFi, an Ethernet connection and a Bluetooth sound system.



For little ones: a Pack n Play, a booster seat high chair, children's dinnerware, and books and toys.



Outside: a private screened porch at your front door, and a fenced courtyard shared with the other units.

Guest Access:

You have the whole carriage house apartment, the private screened porch and the shared courtyard. Free street parking is out front on East Waldburg Street, in front of the brick building. There is no garage. Street parking is free, but watch the posted street sweeping times to avoid a fine.



The courtyard is shared with the other units on the property, so please treat the space and our neighbors with respect.



Entry is by smart lock. Your step by step check-in guide is in the app.



Exterior security cameras cover the porch entry, the lane and the yard.



The Neighborhood:

The apartment is in Savannah's Historic District, a 10 minute walk to Forsyth Park, Whitefield Square and the Victorian Historic District. The Starland district is a quick walk away. The river and the heart of downtown are about a 20 minute walk, or a 5 minute Uber.



A Kroger grocery store is 2 blocks away, and restaurants and cafes are within walking distance. A neighborhood bar, Das Box, is at the end of the street.



The street is quiet and residential, so you come home to peace and quiet while staying close to everything.



Getting Around:

You can walk almost anywhere in the historic district, downtown and Starland. North Tybee Beach is about a 15 to 20 minute drive.



If you would rather ride, Ubers are easy to find, and a free shuttle that runs around the historic district picks up at the head of Forsyth Park, about four blocks away.



If you drive, park in one of the free street spots and walk or ride from there. There is no garage. You can also get a city parking pass at the visitor center. Watch for the street sweeping signs posted on the street. On a sweeping day, move your car to the opposite side of the street to avoid a fine.



Other Things to Note:

There are 17 steps to reach the apartment, and no elevator.



Free street parking is in front of the property on East Waldburg Street. There is no garage. It is shared with other residents, first come, first served, with no assigned spots. Watch for posted street sweeping times to avoid a fine.



Please take your shoes off inside. Smoking is allowed outside only, in designated spots. No pets. Events must be cleared and coordinated with the host first. Quiet hours are 8pm to 8am. The maximum is 4 guests. Service animals are welcome under ADA rules. Please tell us before you arrive.



We spray for bugs every quarter, but you may still see palmetto bugs, wasps or other insects. Please keep doors and windows closed, eat in the dining area and keep trash in the bin.



Interaction with Guests:

We live close by and are available day and night through the app or by phone.



Check in is from 4pm and check out is by 10am. Your door codes and step by step instructions are sent through the app by 3pm on your arrival day. Please read the check-in guide before you arrive.
