Mid-Century getaway

Charming space and worked well for our family. This was our first experience renting someone's house for a few days and we liked it. The home was clean, the kitchen had all the supplies you would need to make meals, and the amenities (TV, internet, laundry, a few family games, etc.) were appreciated. We stayed two nights on a weekend. We felt safe in this home. Parking out back was an issue with a neighbor or someone else hogging both spaces. We could not locate the person who had that car to ask them to accommodate our needs too - fortunately street parking is also available. This is certainly not the host's fault and it did not change my rating. Location is near a grocery store, a short drive from downtown riverfront, historic district, and other attractions in Savannah.

It is a very special property. Well kept, and great location in a safe area with a private place to park. It's large with a wonderful front porch. We sat outside during a thunderstorm, a special moment on the porch. We will stay there again our next to Savannah.

The front porch is a shared space. We didn't have a problem with the other guests. There is a back porch that isn't shared.

Location, quiet, clean, comfortable, great parking.

Lock was easy and lots of space in the apartment. Close-ish to Forsythe Park, which we love.

There was confusion on the room (moved upstairs as downstairs as there was an appliance issue, but then they rented the downstairs anyway, the renters surprised their fridge didn't work!), and the stairs up were REALLY steep and awkward, while the apartment itself was sparse and not very comfortable. They have a central AC unit (being upstairs we needed it), but it seemed not to work so we went back and forth on the window units, one didn't work without a long extension cord. No actual coffee in the place, so trudging down all those stairs and a 10 minutes to a (really good) coffee shop was a drag. Fairly utilitarian furniture, not much of it. They did help us on cost with this, but even so $300 net of everything was pricey for one night.
