Cozy Home in Downtown close to Forsythe park

LOCATION!!! It was on a very cute street with other historic houses The quick response to our last minute request was great. They rescued us from a Booking.com nightmare and were very gracious about it.

The entrance steps were a lot and steep for our older person in our party. We had to park 2 blocks away.

Great location, a block from Forsyth Park and a supermarket nearby. Pleasant suburban road with parking front and back, but note you may need to move your car on weekly street cleaning times. Plenty of space to relax with 2 excellent sized bedrooms which give you a peaceful sleep. Kitchen facilities are well stocked and we ate 2 meals in and also visited local restaurants in walkable distance south of the park. Note there is also is a free bus (LOT) one block away into the centre of Savannah which is also walkable in 20 mins with lots to see on the way, especially if you go through the park. The pictures do truly represent the property. TV easy to operate with all the usual streaming services. Not sure why anyone would stay elsewhere.

Aircon controls are baffling when all we wanted to do was turn it off. Note the door code is for the door itself, not the key box on the wall.

Beds were very comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water. Location was perfect . A short walk to Forsyth Park and the free DOT shuttle to take you to riverfront. Less than five minute work to grocery store and coffee shop. Inside looked just like pictures and we also took advantage of front porch . Unit is upstairs if that’s a concern to you . We had a number of downstairs occupants but we never heard them

Being older carrying our luggage up the stairs was a bit of a challenge but we were aware of it

-around the corner from a grocery store -walking distance to historic area -cool old typical Savannah building with character; very high ceilings and old (out of use) fire places in all rooms -very spacious, high ceilings -kitchen pretty well equipped - great spice rack which is rare (although garlic missing) but salt and pepper shakers -would be nice (the salt in the spice rack had no shaker top) -coffee/keurig and tea and cream (flavored creamers would've been a huge plus) -appreciated the basket of water and snacks -plenty of nice towels (for 2 people, anyway) -plenty of space to put away personal belongings - loads of drawer and closet space! -some board games and even a karaoke machine! lol. Didn't try it and not sure how one would do that quietly so as not to disturb neighbors. -clean fridge, ice maker with ice in freezer -small space heater helped (we were here when it was cold) -nice front patio area though it was too cold for us to use. (Though there were two to-go coffee cups that sat there the entire 3 days we were there).

-heat is SO LOUD - impossible to sleep with it on (can also hear the street from bedroom #1) so we had to turn it off and sleep in a cold unit. -sheets are rough -no tissues (realized later there are some at the bottom of their supply closet buried below many heavy bins - not very useful to guests!) -bedroom #1 door does not close properly. Instead there's a hook and loop to close it but there is a large gap just the same. -coffee table is much too low to be useful -there's a vinyl record player and some LPs but it's for decor. The player works but LP's are terribly warped (not surprising, it gets hot here) -there are steep narrow stairs up to the unit - important if one has mobility challenges (it was a good workout for us as we had a lot of things to bring inside and upstairs) -microwave on the counter is funky. Read instructions on how to open it! Never seen one like that. parking is NOT OFF STREET as stated in the listing. It is street parking if you can find it and no parking Monday nights on one side and no parking Thursday nights on the other side. We were there a Monday night and struggled to find parking on the street. Our confirmation message from the property managers states: "There is one parking spot available off street in front of the building." This is entirely incorrect.
